Couldn’t agree more. I get Porsche trying to stay true to their ICE car driving dynamics but I really enjoy the one pedal driving in my wife’s Model Y Performance. I’d like to see Porsche offer user selective regen modes controlled with paddle shifters.
Is it software limited or the fact that the base has a single motor 402hp and the 4S has two motors with 523/563 hp. The base weighs less and RWD helps with driving dynamics.
I agree that something does not make sense but that’s what my car displayed when I took the photo. As I recall the battery temperature was about 40F and the time to full charge began to drop as the battery warmed up. Here’s a screenshot showing the time I took the photo in case you think I’m...
Yes at 37.3 kw it would have taken that long to get to 100% I guess. I only stayed for less than one hour since cars were waiting and as the battery warmed up to 70F it delivered 60kw. Still well below what a 350kw “Hyper” chargers should do.

It was installed when we bought my wife's Model Y Performance and I occasionally use it with a TeslaTap to charge the Taycan. I would have glady specified and paid for a Hubbell had I known then what I know now. It got a fair review here and so far no melting.
Got the same email. I use my Tesla 220 v EVSE with a TeslaTap adapter (thanks to your advice DaveO) My question is the sentence saying not to use 110 v outlets.
Does this mean is I’m say visiting a relatives house I cannot use the 110 to trickle charge?
Same for me. The EA stations are not only unreliable but now becoming crowded with so many different EVs. Plus I've never got more than 100kw even on a 350 EA charger. EA needs to get their act together fast.
Add me to the list. My 2021 4S only blowing cold air. Windows were fogging and it was difficult to see on my way home. Calling dealer on Monday but after reading this forum I’m not too happy.
Update: took it to my dealer Porsche Pittsburgh. Gave me a Taycan 4S loaner. They replaced the high...
I had a similar frustrating experience yesterday at an EA in Pennsylvania trying to charge my Taycan 4S . Four EA charging stations, two not working, 3 EVs waiting. Over Thanksgiving, I drove from Pittsburgh PA to Charlotte NC and back in my wifes Model Y. Tesla stations were plenty and open and...
Agree. My wife drives a Model Y Performance and loves the easy to handle NACS connector. She is small and struggles to plug in the CCS connector on my Taycan.
I really like the one pedal driving in my wife's Model Y Performance and was initially disappointed with the Taycan approach. After reading the Porsche press release that explained their reasoning - which essentially is to remain true to the Porsche driving dynamics - I have come to appreciate...
