SOLD! 21 inch Exclusive Design Platinum Silver wheels with Continental AS tires. $4,750. Pittsburgh PA area.

I replaced these with a higher contrast black wheel since I felt the silver clashed with my chalk paint. Wheels will look awesome on a white, silver or any dark color Taycan. Front tires were replaced at recent state inspection and have less than 500 miles on them. Rears measure 7/32 tread depth...

    Trying out a Tesla - > J1772 40A rated plug adapter

Last dumb question. The 14-50 outlet is on a 50 amp breaker. Will the car try to pull a higher amp since it has the 19.2 charger?

Thank you for the detailed explanation. You should train Porsche reps!

    Trying out a Tesla - > J1772 40A rated plug adapter

Question from a new Taycan 4S owner here with 19.2 charger. I have a nema 14-50 outlet with a Tesla MCC for my wife’s Model Y. What adapter do you suggest for my Taycan. Teslatap 80 amp?

    EPA Taycan Turbo

I hope you are correct but I have no doubt Porsche will continue to improve battery efficiency without sacrificing the Porsche DNA. See: https://www.roadandtrack.com/car-culture/a28992689/manufacturers-are-emphasizing-efficiency-more-than-ever/

    EPA Taycan Turbo

I agree. The issue for me is not so much that I cannot live with 200 or say 235 mile range for the 4S, but what it may do to the value of the car. I am a big fan of Porsche (currently drive an 18 Panamera 4 and wife a 19 Macan S) but the Taycan I configure is over $130,000, which is OK if it...

2020 Taycan U.S. Pricing For Turbo and Turbo S

Tesla and government regulations forced the main stream car manufacturers to invest in EV's. They were quite content to continue to earn high margins on past investments in ICE technology. Porsche pricing is designed to manage the shift towrds EV's, while not hurting more profitable ICE sales...

2020 Taycan U.S. Pricing For Turbo and Turbo S

I agree. With 30,000 pre-orders they can lose half and be in a better position to hit production deadlines and make higher margins. Porsche has never been a volume chasing brand plus they want to control the migration of their customers from their more profitable ICE cars. The real target here...

How many of us are current Panamera owners?

2018 Panamera 4S and 2019 Macan S here (wife's car). I believe Tesla will facelift and upgrade the interior the Model S around the time of the Taycan launch. Personally, the fit and finish/driving dynamics of Tesla is still not at the level of Porsche, so it was never a serious option for me...

    $1,000 yearly EV registration fee?

using the same rationale, if you trade an ICE car that gets, say, 20 mpg for one that gets 40 mpg, you should also pay a higher registration fee

    Taycan resale value

Another factor would be a significant improvement in battery technology. I just read that Porsche will introduce improved battery tech in 2020. It is not clear if this tech will be in the Taycan at launch.
