The new aeros will have a bigger impact at high speed on long motorway runs than short urban journeys. I do a lot of mileage on motorways so went for them, not having to top up charge to 90%+ to get home (when charge speeds drops off) is a benefit for me.
That's shocking, perhaps the driver sent on the 1300km trip had the windows steam up (no heater) causing them to hit something. I hope they do the right thing and fix the damage, I'd also ask for wheel alignment checks as there has been a collision.
It is amazing a company like Porsche knows...
I had the same scenario 3 years ago so took the cheaper, lower milage, option and will pay the excess mileage. I queried it at the time and they said "it happens sometimes".
I have noise insulated glass on my CT (20" wheels) but had a GTS loaner recently with standard glass (21" wheels). The extra noise in the cabin was noticeable for me, tyre noise slightly, but more just general outside noise, other cars passing etc. I think you'll like it on the Gen2.
Gen2...
I had a GTS loaner when my CT4S was last in the workshop. I was surprised how much faster / immediate it was with shaper handling but I enjoyed the rear bias the most, you'll love it.
I'm switching to ST from CT. At the time I got mine there was only the CT. I am to really concerned about clearance because I very rarely scrape the bottom.
One downside of the ST will be loss of gravel mode for poor quality B roads or singletrack , the extra height and stiff suspension...
