This is a good test/review method, it shows the real world range differences, in real world conditions at exactly the same time (crap UK roads, traffic, rain/cold, 5x stops to swap drivers etc) not just what manufactures spec sheets say. The cars all have different focuses and target markets...
I’ve also been trying to find real world reviews but seems to be a distinct lack of them. The initial journalist reviews were positive apart from the ’active leaning’ feature but this can be turned off.
huge spec and looks great, don't think you've omitted anything never mind missing anything.
Personally I'd take the Turbo performance at this total price level but we all have different priorities.
you'll love it
here is my spec, currently have a CT 4S so looking forward to the power step up...
Spec it and buy an extended warranty when the original warranty expires. Many other standard parts on Gen2 are new so will also fall into similar a risk category. If worried about reliability buy a Gen1 with new a heater, new battery and hope for the best :CWL:
funnily enough I've had the same happen twice in the last 2 weeks, first time in nearly 3 years and over 50k miles. Will be keeping an eye on it and this thread.
it is available in the Porsche app, under total trip. I've only once, very recently, seen a trip over 3 mi/kWh in my 51.5k miles, so it is not accurate for consumption, seems overly generous by about 30% in my experience.
That's interesting, I've noticed none of the cars available ex stock in the UK have PAR and real world reviews of it are almost non-existent. Wonder if Porsche have parts issues, again!?
I noticed that significant drop off, I think the second run was c. 10 degrees cooler but this would only partly account for the difference. Averaging 80mph or even 70mph in the UK is an unachievable dream for most!
With the 16% larger battery and assuming a 5-10% general efficiency...
escalate to Porsche Finland if not already. It is small consolation but at least you have a Taycan loaner, in the UK you get palmed off with the worst rental car they can get away with that is nothing close to a Taycan.
Sorry to hear that, good nobody injured. Reads like catasrophic component failure, I thought there would be multiple fail safes in a modern car like a taycan. If dealer or Porsche GB do not respond quickly I'd get on twitter/X.
I think 3.2 mi/kW is good efficiency improvement on motorways cruising at c. 70mph average, I've never seen anything start with a 3 unless driving 40-50mph on a warm day, more typically 2.3 to 2.7 mi/kW. Then there is the 14% bigger battery.
I drive about 20k miles per year, 30% less time...
I have noticed the wiper marks and also lots of small pits in the glass, the glass seems soft. I have thermal and noise insulating option so it could be the thermal coating. I challenged Porsche service/warranty on the wiper marks and they said it was acceptable although they are clearly...
