I've had two new front struts already, one each side but at different times, due to a knocking noise at low speed over rough ground, wonder if this was the root cause?
While I'm not in the market for a Taycan GT RS, I think this competition is good and healthy, the resulting know how and technical developments trickling down to all models. The brand will be impacted the day that Porsche gives up and no longer attempts to be one of the best road cars for the...
Great ingenuity, hats off.
I was DC charging my j1.2 at the weekend and it was hot here in Scotland, so battery cooling kicked in and both the front fans were running at what sounded like full speed, like a hovercraft. Will remember this thread if I keep the car beyond warranty.
Go my car back after the first service, the same problem exists with J1.2 cars, the smart service record in the car shows incorrect mileage.
The MyPorsche app now shows the correct service and mileage which is nice. I’ll be keeping hard copy service documents in any case.
I had the same problem with my previous J1.1, the smart service record in the car showing wrong milage records (a long way out) for historic services. Dealer tried several times to fix it but said the same, it was an issue involving Porsche Germany servers etc, they never managed to fix it. My...
I noticed mine does exactly the same, small target pressure difference +/- 1 or 2 psi, I suspected it might be temperature related, depending how hot/cold the tyre is may impact the target pressure, for example one side of the car in strong sunlight the other side in shade.
The targets also...
I think your only obligation will be for the tyres to be road legal, correct size and Porsche approved, so N rated. I handed mine back last year to VWFS, BCA handled the actual handover and had good info about damage, hand over expectations etc, this is the standard they worked to...
I look at the consumption every journey, have done for over 55k miles in J1.1 and 17k in J1.2.
The total range improvement is conformably +30% half from bigger battery and half from the improved efficiency.
this is a % difference, the base will likely be WLTP too. I'm now 17k miles in J1.2, driving the same daily routes as my J1.1, the efficiency gains are real and comfortably +15%
The screen message is the damper setting (but the full drive node), it flashes up so you can change the damper or toggle sport sound just after you change mode with the wheel. My car works the same.
Speuk is correct, the TPMS system won't work and the OBD on J1-2 is more difficult to access to reset/retrain it. I bought a TPMS tool after buying a set of J1-1 winter wheels and while it could read the TMPS sensors it could not access the OBD. So you'll likely need to swap the TPMS sensors...
I have no experience with Manheim, my car had the brake hose recall outstanding and they collected it fine, VW Finance, BCA handled the collection/handover for them. I did have to get the MoT done (or so they told me), worked out ok for me as the car was at the dealer for a new 22kW charger at...
One other point to throw in the mix, regen braking switches off when the battery is at high SoC, like 100%, so it only uses mechanical brakes in this condition. It is hard to see your SoC and your problem is inconsistency, but perhaps the braking system is getting signals from the battery that...
All I know is that I've not had the BMS letter J1.1 Taycan owners have so Porsche have either solved the root cause, implemented new BMS software in J1.2 that they will roll to J1.1 or are waiting for J1.2 cars to fail first then address the problem. I think it's most likely J1.2 cars have new...
Suspect they are referring to the optional 'active lean' and 'active pitch' control functions that do the overcompensation by 'leaning' the car for comfort reasons (the article references the 'counteracting' aspect of Active Ride "The Taycan will counteract natural lateral and longitudinal...
