Ultimately, each person attributes different value to each feature. This is not a case of one usecase fits all. Absolutely essential for me may be just meh for someone else.
But it goes without saying: this shouldn't be an excuse for Porsche to ignore the problem.
If you want audio quality over CarPlay, you need to go wired. I use Tidal and always plug my phone because of that. It's quite noticeable.
Here's a more in depth explanation:

Yes, end of year.
That said, it was a verbal agreement. But I bank on the fact that they’d rather keep making money on me though warranty claims and as a client, than to lose me over false promises.
By the way, in case it helps, my Porsche Center has agreed to fit temporarily an 11kw OBC. They mentioned that the plan for Porsche was to release a 22kw OBC in the future, despite of no confirmation on when that'll happen. But the fact that both the Cayenne and Macan do offer again it as an...
I guess there isn't much of a choice here, unfortunately.
That said, what I've observed is that now, in Switzerland at least, both the Cayenne and the Macan can be optioned with the 22kw OBC. Not the case with the Taycan, though.
This was not the case a couple of months ago. I had a discussion...
I was the same until today. Went to pick up the car to take my partner out for dinner, and car refused to start due to electrical issues.
I have already emailed my Porsche center to have it checked, but it looks like it's gonna be the damned 22kw OBC.
There is one, depending on trim/equipment, though: the night assist camera.
Admittedly, it supports a completely different drive assist mechanism, but crucially, suffers from the same fate as the rest of bumper-mounted systems when confronted with a big pack of snow.
My Turbo S comes homologated for using both 20 and 21 inch wheels (no 19 inch unfortunately due to brake caliper clearance). The trick is that the smaller rim uses a higher profile tyre to compensate towards the same total diameter.
Also, buried down in the onboard computer menus, there's the...
Just to chime in: last weekend was snow weekend in Europe. We took our CT Turbo S up the Alps while mother nature was dumping a whole pack of fresh powder on us.
My car has Michelin Pilot Alpin 5 all around, and I must say, it behaved AMAZINGLY WELL. Even better than my previous Macan Turbo...
Thanks for the reply!
Thing is, I very rarely need to resort to DC charging. Perhaps once every two months or so, so I find it hard to justify having to pay a sub that I won't be using. Unless, you mean, starting a subscription if I plan to travel, so that I can use it during that month, and...
Hi team,
I have been enjoying the ownership of my new-to-me Taycan CT since last October. As this is my first BEV, little by little, I am trying to familiarise myself with all the idiosyncrasies of this type of car. Some may find the discovery & familiarisation process frustrating. I do find...
I did a three hour trip today, and same thing. The worst is that the navigation instructions always seem to freeze like 3-4 km before a motorway exit. That makes it very difficult to judge which one is the right one, when there are a few consecutive ones.
Just a little remark, even though it doesn't change much in the context of this conversation: I have ALK without Innodrive.
ALK keeps the car in the center of the lane, while Innodrive adjusts the speed automatically, based on what are the speed limits & how are the curves in the road ahead...
If you guys are talking about the retrofit done by the chinese company Martigi, I once read that their solution is, unfortunately, compromised structurally. The chassis they developed was missing some sort of crossbrace or something, and people demonstrated that without it, it had developed some...
