I haven't had (yet) this issue, but I do have the night vision camera, and reading this thread has spooked me. Makes me wonder what I can do to prevent the glass from breaking.
In any case, have any of you checked these guys from Singapore...
There are many benefits to wired connections, actually.
For starters, the connection is much more reliable than wireless, especially in regards to the initial handshake
Phone gets charged while using it, rather than the other way around. Wireless charging mitigates that, but results in the...
I am on the fence. On one hand, unlocking power is just nice. On the other hand, I've seen that the J1.1 Turbo S is the one that has the smallest increase of all models.
I need to mull over this a bit longer. Any J1.1 Turbo S owners out there with this upgrade, who are willing to share their...
Exactly my point. If there’s no chance to have this retrofitted, then returning the car should be an option.
Also, I concede you’re technically right. Fine print covers corporate’s back. But big print still contained information that is factually false. And that constitutes a basis for...
I have tried to check for Porsche Malta whether an email or phone number was available. No luck.
Then I've seen Porsche Malta is managed by Porsche Central & Eastern Europe. Tried to find something there, no luck either.
The only contact info I get is the same measly email you found.
If I...
What a dodgy bunch. Seriously, push back through Porsche corporate and tell them either retrofit this option at NO COST, or to take the car back. This is an absolutely misleading business practice and there's no excuse on their part. Threat with litigation if necessary, they sold you something...
Come on, five units already? That has to qualify as a manufacturing design issue, and should be replaced with or without warranty. Five units is enough evidence that the whole design around that part is incorrect.
I'm sure a lawyer could make a case about it – for this reason, I have a legal...
Oh, I can tell you that for me this would be an absolute downgrade. My EVSE supplies 22 kw and gets the car juiced up in about 4 hours.
I agree with you that for the general usecase (i.e. returning from work, plugging in, picking up the car the next morning), the 11 kw OBC is sufficient.
But...
I collected mine last Thursday, and so far, I haven't been able to login on the PCM with My Porsche credentials. That said, on the Porsche app, I have submitted my proof of ownership but the car has not yet been added to my profile. Is this a pre-requisite for the login on the PCM to work?
Maybe some EU markets have their CPO warranty underwritten by the same company. But in my case, both Porsche Italy and Porsche Switzerland were very adamant that the italian CPO coud not be applied to a car sold for export to Switzerland.
I can't claim, however, that I know the specifics of it...
Do you guys know whether the 5 year warranty period for the OBC applies also across markets? I purchased my Taycan in Italy, but then imported it into Switzerland.
Porsche Italy was unable to offer Approved Warranty on a car that was sold for export, and now Porsche Switzerland refuses to issue...
There are already companies selling replacement batteries with higher capacity (and thus longer range than OEM) for the BMW i3. Also for the Renaul Zoe.
I don't see why this pattern wouldn't extend to incude the Taycan, also taking into account that for what is essentially the same hardware...
And that's the only valid question in this riddle.
I've always wanted to try and own a BEV. But the big stopper for me was that I live in a city, and I'd have nowhere to charge it overnight.
Recently, I was able to snatch a rental contract for a spot in an underground parking that came...
I suspect that's the same adapter as this one below, which I got to fit an AliExpress unit with TOSLINK output to my (previously owned) Macan Turbo (2015), so that I could run a full digital signal path to the Bose amplifier. I wanted to avoid at all costs doing an analog-to-digital conversion...
Oh, but you do.
You choose whether you want to invest your time in having a look at the feasibility of it. I suspect that's what the other guy actually meant.
