Very much so...
The electricity infrastructure in the UK, EU (and I guess most of US as well) needs massive investments in grid restructuring to cope with this sort of demand ..... and there is just not enough money to invest.... so do not see it happening anytime soon.
But great to see...
- All looking good.... great app.
- Eagerly await for other coding features to be added...
Here is an upload of my battery status.
UK car, year of manufacture 2023, PB+
100% agree.... nothing beats a wired connection for reliability/ stability and data transfer speeds.
ENET cables have been around for ages and used by multiple manufacturers. The whole BMW tuning industry runs on ENET cables.
Cant' wait for such features...
Hi @ct14garage ,
A separate query, if you don't mind.
Can PIWIS be used through an ENET cable/ adaptor or does PIWIS only work with the `VAS 6154` adaptor?
Is there anyway to configure PIWIS to use ENET adaptor?
I need to do some `Manual Coding without Rules (development)` in the BCM1 module...
You can open, lock your car without needing to carry the physical key fob.
With Comfort Access, you still need to carry the key fob on you.
Think of it as Apple Pay - you can use the iPhone to make credit card payments without carrying the physical credit card.
Porsche was mentioned in the the Logos as well…. (at 00:33:14 in the keynote)
I very much doubt it for the original Taycans… maybe J1.2 and the newer Macans.
If range is not a concern and you only want a bit extra performance... my suggestion is to spend your money on a ECU tune instead.
See the threads here for low warranty risk tuning options...

You might be able to get a bit more ‘off’ from the dealership…. Taycans are in plenty now and dealers are struggling to shift… so I guess they would still want you to have the car (albeit at a higher discount). Less profit is better than no sale.
Also got the alert in the app a few days back.
My car has already had the usual 60 day battery checks, done 3 times…. and the next is not due for a while.
I think the app alert is just another backend glitch (that Porsche software team haven’t a clue about !).
I am at the dealers in mid-June...
Great thought….. I bet they will.
I think most people with any sort of Porsche experience know that although Porsche make great mechanical/ electro-mechanical stuff and are also great at critical mechanical electronic controls/ software; however when it comes to other (in Porsche world…...
A layman review of the MAPEV ASG module...
No draggy times, no tech, no measurements.... just seat of the pants feel and perception.
I have now had the ASG module in a 2023 4S (with Performance Battery +) for over a week.
Installation:
- Very easy if you follow the YouTube guide.
- Make sure...
Very useful info…
What version of VCDS did you use? Is there a minimum version requirement? I am looking to code a Taycan MY23…
In addition, do you have any idea as to how to code TPS sensors To also show temperature along with pressure?
Thanks…
I am assuming that this above information does not reflect on your solution, as in your offered solution, the original ASG is untouched; hence Porsche have no record of any modification using MapEV.
OK.. so a lot more complicated than just sending a bunch of messages over ethernet. Understood.
Maybe a web application that does the job and it can then be launched from a mobile browser…
I’ll give Car Scanner app a go once I get my ASG module and see if it clears all errors. If it does, then...
Could you publish the windows source code for just the ‘Clear All DTC’ to GitHub; and maybe someone can be inspired to write a quick-dirty iOS app for the same?
The 'Clear All DTC' function is really useful and will be very much needed when swapping the ASG modules.
A request...
- Is there a possibility to make a limited version iOS app with just the 'Clear All DTC' feature?
Use case:
Cloned ASG unit fitted.
For whatever unexpected (breakdown...
