What? 3mi/kWh? You need to put your foot down a bit more and drive it like a Porsche !!!
In my nearly 18 months of ownership (late 2023 model) over 18,000 miles, I have never had it more than 2.4mi/kWh acros any kind of terrain or driving style.
I had tried these exact steps as well.... and nothing worked.
The issue was at the Porsche back-end servers, and since that has now been sorted (for now !!!), Apple Music/PCM now works...
Regardless, thanks for the input... It may be helpful in some other circumstances.
In the UK…
Having the SAME exact issue. Tried everything, resetting, unlinking account, reboot PCM, removing Porsche account from iPhone…. Nothing seems to work.
iPhone says Linking successful but PCM keeps looping with the same error.
Going on for over 10 days now…
This is the experience with most high end manufacturers now.
It’s great until the car runs fine… but if you have issues, customer service from any of the big brands (Porsche, BMW, Merc, etc.) doesn’t match up the price tag. The businesses are corporate machines and the consumer is just a number...
I had the same issue with the boot opening.
I managed to find the setting in PIWIS (Link #1, Link #2) to increase the timeout for boot opening. Now, if I accidentally press the boot open button, it doesn’t open immediately.
The button needs to be held for about 600ms before the boot opens...
I have found a few more...
Working:
1) Turn Indicators Blink count
BCM2 > Flasher_light_control > Motorway_flashing_flashing_cycles
Default value is is 03, can be changed to any odd value (e.g. 5)
2) Delay in Boot Open with Remote Key
BCM2 >...
Agree.
I also agree that it is annoying when these issues happen and one has to wait for the fixes to get done.
The longer the wait, the higher the frustration …. but once tha car is back from the delership after the fixes, it still puts a smile on our faces.
So, still worth it in my opinion !
1) Technically yes, as they have the tools. A dealer may not however be willing to do this. Find an independent Porsche workshop or someone who has access to PIWIS tools.
2) You need a copy of PIWIS 3 and a VAS OBD2 adaptor. Legal copies of PIWIS and the original VAS adaptor are a couple of...
I don't believe Porsche is now trying to cover this up.
There are many thousands of cars affected, thousands have already been fixed, the information is in the public domain, the information is with the various safety regulators in many countries....
More than anything, it is a logistics...
Brake hoses work completed yesterday, all good.
I got it done while I waited at the dealership, so no courtesy car shenanigans.
Had a chat with the dealership. What I gathered is that the queue is big (as expected), but parts are coming in twice a week, so progressing as best as it can be.
The link is a good find and I intend to use it in my discussions with Porsche. ?
Absolutely agree with the sentiment ... 'they should be held to a much higher standard...'
