I guess depends how old the kids are - mine are still in car seats so ultimately pointless to heat the base of the car seats!! I think you are right re Innodrive, the best use of the smart cruise is in long traffic (my daily commute on the A40).
This is exactly what has just happened to Range Rovers but RR is 10x worse. They downgraded everyone from the "Signature" 1700w system to the "3D" 700w system for no reduction. Those who are just about to go into production were offered a £1100 "goodwill" reduction for agreeing to lose a circa...
Ah nice area, quite often head through for Burnham.
I had the same wait - weeks waiting for Burmester. Also put in an order for a Range Rover at a similar time - almost 12 months now. Sale stop on any car with a Meridian sound system...only problem? EVERY RR has a Meridian sound system!

Arrived back in May - Gentian Blue Turbo. Not many cars in the world that you can commute to London in every day whilst keeping up with most Supercars!
I would use range mode if I could work out how to nudge up the max speed. Looked in all the menus...but should probably consult the manual...
I would be confident in most conditions up to 250 mile drive in any mode.
My X5 enables the boot to be closed by the usual press and hold of the relevant button, I have resisted from enabling this feature when my children have their heads near the boot...That said, it is actually the waving your foot under which can be dangerous if the kids are running around the back...
Wow this is unreal, sitting around for 4 months waiting for a 12v battery? I thought the Burmester delay was bad but this is next level. My sympathy gents.
I had this history but in reverse. Went from a Panamera to a Maserati GT MC in three tone red. Looked and sounded incredible! But, they are not "good" cars - drink fuel, handle poorly, cheap elements to the interior (the key is so bad!). Lasted 3-4 months.
Moved to a DB11 and it sounded decent...
I suspect you will get there with 60 - 80 miles of range remaining depending on elevation gain. We have done Devon twice and been very surprised that the real world range exceeds the estimate.
I love the sound. Started off by only using it in urban settings but now just have it on all the time. Find myself doing that thing that all men/boys do and driving along going "booooooyyyyyyyy" (as opposed to ICE "brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr"
