  1. Tracker key fob battery life

Tracker fob (PVTS) or regular key? My tracker fob remains functional after 9 months and is kept within 4 meters of the car. Same place I previously kept the tracker fob for my Cayenne. It used to last around a year to 15 months. Regular key is kept in a faraday box elsewhere and lasts a bit...
  2. Anyone know what this is?

Don’t think so; it’s all one part. I guess the stub is likely still in the body, so will probably need to be dug out. https://www.lllparts.co.uk/product/9J1802819/socket-jack
  3. Anyone know what this is?

They are push fit using the split centre spigot. It’s hard to tell from the photos if the spigot is broken. If it’s OK, then just push it back in place.
  4. Anyone looking at the new Lotus Eletre as an alternative to the Taycan?

That was real Lotus; this is Chinese Lotus so probably less Trouble ?
  5. Recuperation issue?

This problem of what to do with excess energy is much more interesting on cars with one pedal driving. Certainly needed to be aware if SOC was 100% when starting a journey in my i3.
  6. Connection issues

Forgot again about the Tuesday thing. However, last night’s OVO Anytime charge seems to have worked ok. Perhaps Porsche didn’t bounce the servers last night, or maybe they were back up by 00:10 and 02:08 when the car was actually charged.
  7. Replacement vehicle recommendations?

What’s wrong with another Cayenne E-hybrid?
  8. Connection issues

Seems mostly to have been at the low rate. I plugged it in around midday Tuesday when there was connectivity to Porsche servers; it did the usual full rate test charge of 0.4KWh. It started charging proper at 01:36 Wednesday morning and completed the 100% charge at 06:54. The EVSE supplied...
  9. Connection issues

My connectivity was down yesterday too. Forgot about this Tuesday server flakiness so ended up with a 100% OVO Anytime over night charge rather than the requested 85%
  10. RE-CALL

It is likely the WPN8 recall update that appears to be PCM bug fixes like the black spinning cursor of death and navigation hang ups. There are lots of threads elsewhere about the details. I booked my Taycan in to RPG Reading for this and the APB2 HV battery seal recall yesterday and was given...
  11. Excessive Wait for Door Replacement on Taycan in Norway - Need Advice

There seemed to be plenty of replacement doors available in the UK during the summer. My vandalised Taycan required 2 fronts and 1 rear which were delivered to the Porsche Approved body shop within 5 days. Of course, this didn’t require any approval from Porsche because it was an insurance claim...
  12. OVO charge anytime price reduction

I got the email yesterday along with my monthly bill email. Now all they need to do is make the Kuluza platform interact more reliably with Porsche servers and the car.
  13. Random Charging Profiles appearing

Ok, so OVO ChargeAnytime uses the Enode profile to manage charging of the car to shift charging to quiet times on the grid. This profile will reappear again when OVO next decides to actually charge the car. Once it is charged, it will then update Enode to avoid future charging. This all requires...
  14. Random Charging Profiles appearing

What was the name of the profile? Was it the Enode profile controlled by the Porsche charging API used by OVO and Octopus to manage charging to quiet grid times?
  15. UK connectivity issues still ongoing

Yup, able to get the green light in the app and OVO Anytime also seems to be able to communicate with the car which correctly charged to 85% over night.
  16. Problem on first use of an OBDLink MX+

Yup, AC charging losses do seem somewhat high. I have an EmonPi monitoring my EVSE (Simpson&Partners 7+) charge cable (3m long) and use the cable that came with the car to connect the EVSE to the charge port, and regularly see 17% losses. Actual losses will depend on individual EVSEs...
  17. Taycan security - Advice please

    3. Monitoring service; service provide contacts owner if the car moves without the tracker fob to verify car state
  18. Problem on first use of an OBDLink MX+

Not sure that looking at power on public DC chargers will give you anything useful for AC charging. When using AC, there is a lot more going on in the car and thin AC cables will likely have much larger losses than fat DC public charger cables. If you can’t measure the power delivered from the...
  19. Problem on first use of an OBDLink MX+

You’ll be missing the cable and charger losses if you use battery state of charge delta. These losses could be up to 15%
