Having gone from 23 GTS to 25 GTS here are my assessments:
- Better range, substantially. 299 miles @90%.
- Better charging speed, substantially. 315kW best so far, and holds it deeper into the curve.
- Better performance, substantially. Honestly the first time I've felt a car is "fast enough."...
I hope that's a total loss - you don't want it any more after this.
And like the others I bet it will be. Every body panel on the side is damaged, plus frame integrity and who knows what to the battery/cooling system.
Chalk Night Vision up to another feature like PSCB - too expensive to maintain, not worth it.
Whenever mine gets cracked I'll just turn off the feature. Getting pretty tired of these built-in costly expenses.
Well shoot. I’ll try and capture noise on mine.
The stealership says it’s normal, but I definitely notice it vs the old car.
It does sound like airflow noise so maybe it is normal. I should drive another J1.2.
My assumption - until proven otherwise - is that we might need calipers to complete the downgrade. But then you’re off the PSCB crazy train for good.
I do know iron rotors exist for the same wheel size, as my 23 GTS had iron brakes with red calipers. My 25 has PSCB with white calipers. Same...
One of the things I noticed after upgrading was additional wind noise from the drivers side / front area over 60mph. It is like a hissing / wind sound.
I am curious if you’ve noticed the same, having done a similar technology jump.
I also switched from manual charge doors to automated so...
I think it's fair to say PSCBs are kind of a failed experiment.
Many of us have had them forced on us due to wheel choice, but they really do not make sense.
Having just redone all of my brakes (on a brand new car, grr) I hope I don't need to change them for a long time, but when I do I will...
You’ll still save then by getting the parts from Suncoast. Get the bolts and sensors too as the dealership will insist on new.
You should save a few thousand in the end.
That quote is crazy high, is it for all four?
I was recently quoted around 7k for fronts, but even that was high because the parts were at dealer markup.
Order the parts from Suncoast, pay the dealer for labor.

Unless the coating failed...
Huh. Weird but ok.
I had a Porsche shop once replace the PCM because they couldn’t figure out how to install a map update, back when that required money and a service visit. Insanity.
I empathize. It’s a serious disruption to be without the car for long periods of time over these issues.
My tolerance for driving loaners I don’t like is low.
I don’t have specific experience with Porsche extended warranty but this has been my reason for hesitation every time. I don’t trust it to come through when I need it.
Please accept my apologies, as you've now commented more than once on the sushi comment :)
I didn't mean any mean spirit by it.
If anything, I was impressed by your bravery :)
