Last year (2022) I chose to replace my fully loaded Taycan Turbo as it was less than a year away from the PCP contract ending. I asked what my trade in value would be and was offered £105,000 (25% depreciation over 2.5 years) by Porsche in Bristol, I was happy and ordered a new Porsche Turbo S...
I followed the previous thread about a constant squeal at low speed, which was present for weeks, the suggestion of bedding in, isn't correct as I'd done 19,000 miles. However, a return trip to the Isle of Man seemed to cure it (600 miles), sort of, I now have an unrelated squeak from the front...
My original Porsche tags were frequently not being detected as present and I would be constantly called by the vehicle alarm company. Porsche Swindon replaced them and recoded the new ones to the car. Since then every time I enter or exit various stores (eg B&Q, Sainsburys, White Company and...
I'm driving from the UK to NL next week and need to charge at Threeforce BV Terneuzen
Has anyone used this before and what do I need in order to pay for the charge?
I've never charged outside the UK before, Is there an App?
Seriously? The only bad idea in a Taycan?? we must be driving different cars, or you are way more tolerant than I. There is so much wrong with the Taycan design, it's only saving grace is that it's nice to drive.
In addition to it randomly turning the radio to full volume when locked and unattended, the boot (trunk) opening, the wing mirrors not dipping when it’s reversing, the parking sensors being over sensitive and alerting on 4 inch kerbs, not connecting to a mobile phone for a week, online radio not...
I'm the original author of this thread and my statement still stands, the Taycan sat nav is CRAP!
I've owned and driven several electric cars and you could manage your charging schedule using the in car sat navs with each of them, even the Leaf with a circa 100 mile range could be managed...
I'm sorry but the Porsche Crap Nav is woefully inadequate.
As I stated originally, my old Gen 1 Nissan Leaf Sat Nav (Not Google or ZapMap) was far, far superior and I sold that several years ago.
I agree that an App will always be better, however, Porsche should at least update their database...
If the charging network in the UK isn't particularly robust, it is all the more reason for what few chargers we do have to be reflected in the database and for the satnav to be functional if not capable
Great car to drive but an absolute nightmare on a long journey, it’s like stepping back 15 years to those early sat navs. I’ve even had to resort to pen and paper and make a note of which service stations have which chargers for long journeys. I have now travelled well over 2000 miles and these...
