The car was screaming for a mid-cycle refresh the day it hit the showroom. Too focused on drag….they need to take a range hit and fix that front end. Or sell it for half the price and let us BYOB….bring your own body
Ya but it’s still weird since the manufacturer is locking ~10% of the battery for this same reason. So you’re actually using what, around 70% of the actual battery? Tesla doesn’t lock any portion, advises charging to 90% daily, and theyve had no degradation issues. So the 80/100% is a little...
I don’t think has as much to do with Tesla’s pricing as it does with VAG’s plan to create more distinction between its brands. Yeah the RS’s specs were somewhat comparable to the Taycan Turbo….but that’s all.
anyways, just thought in case anyone is currently cross shopping, they may like this...
Agreed. But it was annoying as it was caused by their tech at such a dire time. But I doubt any of you have gone through 6-7 heaters no matter how bad. This is a problematic area of the car, which they claim to have improved…I don’t buy it. So like I said, just a bit wary of these kind of...
I’ve gone through each handle once, and a few of the replaced ones a second time…..so 6/7 I’ve lost count. Last one during pandemic, mobile fixed one rear, put it in incorrectly, blowing some fuse that messed up the second rear, and had to wait 7 months. So yeah, everyone’s different, but...
Thanks. It’s actually been a real pain, so not exaggerating that it’s a reason I’m avoiding another S. Every time it creaks open I’m afraid it’s going to crap out
So wait. Your door handles pop out? One of the reasons I didn’t go for the Plaid refresh was the stupid handles. Tesla’s market cap has been helped in large part due to how many handles I’ve had to replace
Any similar issues with your handles? Haven’t had a chance to check the car out...
Ok. So it’s pretty much identical to my 10yr old Model S….100% gave me 425, and 90% was around 385. Now it’s down to 360/330 (using their “estimates”). It’s not linear, but I see roughly a 5km range drop per year. Any Taycan owners know how their range figures change year over year?
Those...
And I mean it’s just cool to see. That used to be what ICE super cars would do to insane/ludicrous/whatever EV after the initial launch….the carbon wrapped motors have really changed things in the car. But still 100% just a party trick
A bit of $$$ will fix this, and some time will help u feel better. But whatever the person who did this is dealing with will probably never be fixed. U have a great car, wonderful gf and daughter…..don’t let the worst of humanity ruin it for you
