Yes definitely. The added security is great (car thefts are through the roof in my area). It would a nice option to have (something that can be turned on or off)

weird. So I finally went for a test drive (which has instantly ruined all other cars for me!). But when I asked about the battery warranty, the sales guy told me it’s 8yr 160,000km….and no way to add to that.

so in this situation, would the warranty cover the battery if it’s fine and at >70% capacity, and then you incur some sort of battery failure that requires a replacement? asking as a fellow Canuck

Totally get it. That’s why I’ve kept an old beater Prius around since 2014. But it just sits on my driveway collecting dust….im just not a road tripper. And my wife has a model 3 now, so I suppose I can ditch the Prius. Really sucks (from a convenience standpoint) that Porsche hasn’t jumped on...

So then clearly it is just a different approach (by Tesla)….not an “EV thing”. But it seems to be appreciated (by some). And it’s nice that on Tesla’s there is a choice to have it on or off. It would be nice (for me) to see it on P cars. But like I said, that’s not Porsche’s vision for cars, so...

I’m at over 300,000km with original brakes still looking good. Porsche has a different approach, and the benefits show in their ability to be more efficient at higher speeds. I do prefer the option to turn one pedal driving off/on in the Tesla via a simple button, and I do like one pedal driving...
