Understood. But it is a long list of options
I think there’s everything I’d want. I have no interest in driver assistance tech other than parking sensors
just want to make sure there’s no glaring omission
So are Canadian prices out of whack, or in line with you’re seeing elsewhere?
im currently looking for a ‘23 CPO. CT’s are around the $150k mark (~112 usd). Whereas new GTSs are easily hitting and passing $200k (~150 usd) for comparison.
might just be the CTs? I’m seeing ‘23 Taycan sedans...
I believe the main issue with QS’s battery has been the need to operate within very tight temperature ranges….once they can address that, rolling out to future EVs would have great potential
That’s crazy. I had a fear of this when my Model S battery was failing….service told me it could shut down at any point even while driving. Even to hear it happen like this is freaky
Say? Nothing. First was a warranty repair - they swapped the cable (not the unit). Second time was out of warranty, paid for a new hpwc (the latest gen that tops out at 48A, so sorry I don’t believe I ever had the Gen 2) out of pocket. Third time I was directed to contact Tesla home charging, as...
Thanks. Yes “dual charger” was just Tesla branding. But good to know how much juice I can pump in. I wonder about long term battery health….i had 3 melted charger cables/ports (all wired correctly by Tesla rec. electricians) and subsequently Tesla has done away with the 80A option. Could be...
im still having difficulty speaking non-tesla (esp related to charging). Is this 19.2kw somewhat equivalent to Tesla’s old “dual charger” where the car would pull 80a? That’s my current setup….unfortunately the charger fried and the new ones are all capped at 48a.
Just trying to understand how...
My biggest worry is stone chips. Had a few nasty ones penetrate my clear xpel. If there’s a stark difference between the wrap and paint colour that wouldn’t be pretty. I’m also looking at CPOs, but really prefer Mamba or Neptune, so wrapping is an option on the table
Yup. I’m weighing my options at the moment (cost vs how much I will get after repair/sale). Fewer options in Canada, however recell will ship back n forth. Need to visit Porsche after holidays to see if they’d be willing take the repaired vehicle as a trade in
Interesting. I’ve wondered about the long term reliability of module replacement vs replacing the entire pack (Tesla won’t and the argument seems to revolve around balancing of the cells). My Model S battery just went. I’d much rather pay to replace a module or two, vs the $23k they want to...
Use a quality product and you will be ok. My 10yr old Model S was wrapped in Xpel….the car still looks new (based on comments from passersby). No yellowing etc. so no need to worry about what’s underneath….the ppf remains on.
had to remove once due to an accident (it was torn and looked...
All these concerns will hopefully be addressed with the upcoming etron A6 avant. Though I’m not sure if that’s been pushed back or not with Audi’s recent rethink on going hard into EVs
Good to know. Was getting 2 seasons out of my Model S (~30k km) on stock suspension set to Low. Wear along the inside even though outer tread ok. Whenever my Taycan finally arrives, lowering links are first on the list! Thanks for the feedback
