Glovis Courage is making its way through the Panama Canal at the moment. I noticed something weird though - vessel finder says it’s next stop is Benicia now? The schedules have said it was going to San Diego first, seems weird to change the order, and with SD-bound cars aboard it surely won’t...
Sympathies to OP, the charging stuff sounds frustrating. I’ve gotten the impression from this and other threads that public charging in the UK is hilariously bad. I’ve been driving EVs for a decade, almost entirely in California where we are very spoiled by mild weather and large investment in...
Here ya go. Courage is expected to head straight to Panama (Dec 27) and then on to San Diego (Jan 4). As you can see, the next couple west coast boats are less direct and expected to take longer.
I’ve been looking here, just need to choose east/west coast trade lane, and then either carrier to see the schedules: https://www.pwl.de/en/eportal/schedules--vgm
I don’t see an updated schedule for anything Houston-bound though, so I’m not sure when the next boat is for you.
This wheel/brakes conundrum is partly why I went GTS - the black RS spyder wheels look great with the standard calipers in red. It’s the only combo that looks as good to me as mission Es with carbon ceramics, but saves me the agony of blowing 10 grand on brakes I will never benefit from. :D
Yeah, TYD says mid-January, but it’s been moving every couple weeks for ages. It’s clearly not based on anything real, since the “on vessel” dates never align with when the San Diego bound ships are really there.
I’ve been at the port since Oct 18, and sat at the factory for almost 2 months...
Starting this thread out of optimism that my GTS which entered the body shop way back in July will finally get on a boat this month, and reach the west coast in January. Currently stalking the Glovis Courage, which will arrive in Emden in a few days. I’ve been at the port for nearing 2 months...
Lots of opinions here! I’d only add my thoughts on the race Tex - I specced my GTS with leather, and from skimming incoming inventory at dealers all over the US this year, it seems to be a common change for the GTS. I don’t think you’ll find a lot of purists in the used market who have to have it.
Since the cars are in high demand with little availability, I’d be happy to get it at MSRP and would consider that a loyalty perk on its own. But I live in CA, where MSRP is a myth :D
For those who did get on, I’m curious what your dates have been. For me, I started production in July before the shutdown, CP 8.0 on august 30, arrived at emden Oct 18 presumably after getting a 12v. Still no luck.
No update for me yet, so I’ll bet I got skipped again. That’d be the third boat. I’m starting to think maybe my car is missing an amp (ordered Burmester), so they’re letting it rot at port.
