Clipper has departed Emden. Time to start obsessively checking TYD to see if it updates… :)

Glovis Clipper is moored at Emden. I’m hoping my car gets a ride on this one (San Diego bound). Been sitting at Emden since Oct. 18, and finished production sans battery end of August. If I get skipped for this boat I’ll be pissed :D

The only one heading to San Diego left yesterday and a few folks saw their tracking update at that time, so I’m pretty sure I’m catching the next one. Edit: next one is in like 3 weeks I seem to recall.

Were you also in storage near Zuff? My car was among those that sat by the factory since august, so I’d hoped the recent move to the port would mean the wait was nearing its end.

Well damn, it seems like my car missed the only San Diego bound boat for a while. No car for me this year. :/. Surprised that being at emden 2 weeks ahead of the boat wasn’t enough, guess they’re really backed up.

My dealer is in socal, so I need an SD bound boat.

Oh, that might be a bummer. TYD says my car is supposed to go through San Diego. Benicia is barely any farther than SD from my dealer though. Would be a shame if I don’t get on this boat.

Yeah, to make the Taycan a better track car, you’d have to make it a lot less attractive as a daily. Steve gushed about the Taycan GTS in another vid, but still emphasized that it was more at home on the road than a track, which seems obvious.

Should be this week. The next west coast boat is the Glovis Stella, which has shown ETAs of both Nov 1st and 4th. It’s pretty close by in Belgium at the moment. I’ve been stalking it since my car got to Emden on Oct 21st.

So the next west-coast bound boat is supposed to be the Glovis Stella? Looks like it’s taking an unusually long stop in Belgium. 3 days in port already, probably not hitting the schedule that was posted on Monday.

I’ve got a GTS on order to replace my model 3 performance. Size difference is negligible imo (less than a foot longer) and the one area I usually feel that is turning circle, which is smaller on the Taycan even without RWS, and quite a bit better with. I’ll miss access to superchargers, and...

I think my car might have gotten a battery. I did move from the holding area (had been there 8 weeks) to Emden recently. It’s heading to the west coast, so if it get on the ship leaving next week I think I can assume it has a battery.
