If I were you I'd subscribe for 1 month and see what happens (you can cancel afterwards).
I just hope the system doesn't delete or somehow turns ineffectives the updates downloaded/installed once the service isn't active anymore.
Exactly ! I don't care since according to several reviews already, you get ~400km on highway at 130km/h and you're charging @400kwh with a medium value of ~280kwh on the 10-90%.
ie the advertised 600-650km WLTP on mixed cycle is probably true, which would be enough as far as I'm concerned.
To...
Hey there,
My Taycan Turbo MY20 looks exactly the same as you, I don't have an active Porsche Connect service, I will take it 1 month when I go on holiday, then stop the subscription.
The 2025 J1.2 I tried displayed the latest DC chargers around without any issue.
So I'm pretty sure your dealer...
Just adding my 2 cents on driving the Lotus Eletre as I saw some comments - if I'm not mistaken it's not 250K€, rather 170-180 (France), I drove it 1h a good year ago when I was comparing the hybrid GLC, Q6/Q8 e-Tron and Xpeng G9, my assessment was :
Pros
Premium feeling : good quality...
Thanks @chun didn't know that - don't think I heard this (sometimes it's parked >24h), but I do have a few noises sometimes from the brakes (rather high-pitched)
hey there, right probably marketing, in the meantime @Alain13 (from France) could do it, so I re-checked the website and indeed the "S" is now available to configure in France, with PAR option, and same for the "Turbo" version, which is overkill for me.
So all good now, I'll try to test-drive a...
oh ok, glad for you that it's solved :)
Taycan J1.2 I got as 3rd loaner was really nice to drive for ~10 days, even though less specced than mine (4S vs Turbo, same 21" wheels, RAS in both, no PDCC in both), which makes me think they must have tweaked a few somethings that make the J1.2...
"valued" being a key word, as in your friend has a garage full of Porsches ? :CWL:
or maybe +1 step like Lambo, Ferrari etc :)
(just messing with you, totally fine by me!)
right, forgot to edit with my poste but you found it!
The vehicle refusing to move is more than annoying since it's putting in jeopardy the reliability.
I'm glad they found the root cause (1 failed + 2 fragile modules) and fixed it, but then what about your issue ? it seems crazy it can happen...
Bonjour cher ami Canadien,
I had almost the same 3W ago, I just posted the details here :
https://www.taycanforum.com/forum/threads/onboard-network-error-red-taycan-wont-move-battery-modules-replaced.34341/#post-530227
No problem since I've had it back & repaired.
oh thanks, I don't see "S" in the French configurator, but it does appear on the "Turbo" version, however that's ~200K€ with my spec, damn :
Porsche code : PTBCQGE2
Edit : my bad, the S appears now, good news !
Hi guys,
Just thought I'd post this if it's useful for others.
My Taycan was parked in the street, I didn't use it the previous 2 days and had an errand to run, but I got a red alert (see photo) which completely immobilized the car, it wouldn't move an inch.
I tried a few on/off of the car : no...
Good for your nephew, it's important to be passionate about one's job.
1 person / 1 context isn't a base for reasoning though (regardless of right/wrong/accuracy).
From the same barrel : I'm not trying to convince you/anyone of why Musk's impact on humanity is utterly negative.
We'll just agree...
Thanks for the link, interesting !
Just to be sure we agree on the definitions :
Type#1 "Active suspension" is like PAR, a system that "does something actively, like pushing back on the road".
Type#2 "Pneumatic/Air suspension" is like PASM, could be sufficiently comfortable & still sporty (IMHO)...
Same spirit as you, if something comes up along the way that is a true alternative, I won't wait for Porsche to keep up on the software/entertainment/user experience level of the Chinese (which, according to me, are the reference today).
Regarding
I think I've had the same issue, I've been...
my GF had 2 different Model 3 so I know Tesla's SW, no doubt it's much better than the Taycan's.
But Tesla's is also slightly below Xpeng : drove my G9P during 1 year, everything was either equivalent or "slightly better", and overall a little more user oriented, very easy to use, while keeping...
~130K€ for a not-GTS points to "yes" but I'm not sure, so benefit of the doubt.
Yes, PAR seems to be a massive improvement for comfort, the "flying carpet" effect which downside is to cut you more from feeling the road.
The perfect car would be a Taycan that's a flying carpet when you go to...
