Exactly the same experience I had, except I'd qualify the body movements of the Macan as "massive" vs the Taycan's. And I don't think it even has the possibility to spec PAR or Air Suspension ? (unless maybe the GTS model?) didn't check that but if it doesn't then of course it's difficult to...
Not sure about the Plaid, but I drove a 2023 Model S (680ch) before buying my Taycan : only thing it can do is go fast in a straight line, it doesn't behave anywhere near a sportive sedan as soon as you turn the wheel, really disappointing - my previous Xpeng G9 Perf was superior in every regard...
The Macan I drove (~130K€) convinced me definitively to buy my Taycan Turbo : far too bumpy, rolling you from left to right, and 1/5th of the fun (for me at least)
ah, my understanding was the "i" M being revealed in ~1 month has a DHP which is active & equivalent to PAR ?
But right now, it seems the best they have is Air Suspension on the i7, and nothing on the new iX3 (very disappointing), or sometimes they have something only on the rear axis, not...
agree with you, until I can actually drive a Xiaomi SU7, HP/NM numbers won't mean anything if it drives like my Xpeng G9 P (very good family car, "flying carpet", nothing comparable to the Taycan :) ).
But if by some miracle they got the chassis/suspension/steering right + comfort, then I'll...
you mean the Emeya which is the sport sedan version, while Eletre is the SUV - exactly same platform though - I drove both, good cars, Emeya vs Taycan is a close call, the proposal is different, for me it's still a short lead for the Taycan.
Just joining you to say I'm happy with the service of my French Porsche dealer ("Paris Ouest"), really nice team, good tech & sales.
I'm picking up my Turbo on Monday after a battery modules replacement, I'll post a summary soon, they've done a good job for me up to now :)
As you know Pierre I drove a Xpeng G9 Performance (550ch) for 1 year :)
A real "flying carpet" in Comfort+ mode, but nowhere near as fun to drive as a Taycan, and a great technology inside, very user oriented.
In a nutshell, if someone could build a car with Xpeng tech & Porsche chassis/riding...
Indeed, I drove recently for ~40 minutes the Emeya 600 Sport SE 21" : 614ch and this one has the maximum technologies the platform can offer (same as the 900ch models, while the less expensive 600 models lack a few technical options).
It's true I felt more its weight than my Taycan Turbo, but it...
Cayenne EV is definitely on my list to try, my sales guy said "July", let's see until I drive it.
My only approach to not suffer too much in your case is to loan : less hassle, if it breaks down it's not exactly "your" problem, you'll get a replacement etc... of course it doesn't solve the trust...
Let him think he has a Porsche with his Polestar...lol why not
It's like people who tell you this or that about food/wine - fine for them if they don't taste a difference then they save money (and still true that sometimes something isn't worth it by itself and priced by rarity only).
Funny...
same here, I love my MY20 Turbo, it's a very good car, just a pity that some key aspect have not been managed better by Porsche, hence the thought of switching to a J1.2
Anyway if you buy or lease one new no worries with that, but even a used 5 or 6 years old model for minimum investment is ok...
yep, that's one of the biggest weak points of Porsche in EVs, from my Xpeng G9P experience the Chinese are more than catching up, with high quality & 3 options in the G9 : luxury pack = all leather (as good as Porsche) + incredible 3D sound system (much better), colour, and traction point at...
Exactly, I wish they'd hear their customers, and realize they also need new customers (like me lol)
total BS from legal point of view, I don't know who answered you this, but in my experience it's a typical "sales guy who doesn't want to admit he doesn't know" kind of answer, stupid if you ask me.
Pending other more experienced users on this forum, my own experience is different on my MY20 T Turbo.
I pushed my Porsche dealer to have a working v3885 update of the PCM, they did it, I've been driving this car for 3 months, with 0 problems, 0 lag etc.
I believe MY20-MY24 can go up to v3885...
