3k since October. 2k of that was 2 1000mi road trips. My Macan had 33k after 4 years when I sold it before getting the Taycan. A 1 mile commute for work (whenver we can do that again) means not a lot of daily mileage. :)
While the CT4 might be a better value, you're going to take a bath trading in a 4S to get one. Especially if you have to pay the full sales tax again (like we do in CA)
I'm not going to participate in this thread, because I'm pretty sure I could just look through actual configs from members and find a lot of candidates :P
That said, that build makes my eyes bleed, well done!
If I was interested in buying a Tesla for FSD, I would never pony up the extra $10k. I'd just wait for an actual release and then trade up to the new car with the actual working bits. Crazy to do anything else.
They're not years ahead of everyone else, they are at best 3rd place behind Waymo and Cruise. They're painting themselves in a corner by avoiding LIDAR.

Estimated range depends on all sorts of things, including how long you've had the car. If you had the old car in the summer and the new one in the winter, there's a big difference there too.
None of the manufacturer numbers matter anyways, since they sandbag numbers, and can easily publish whatever they'd like to tell whatever story marketing wants.
Having a backup plan is by far the best advice for new owners. For my first 2 1000mi road trips, I had backup plans for failures at each stop. The primary was an EA site, but I had several other network chargers identified that would be where to go if EA didn't work. Worst case, I had 50kWh...
I'd gladly drop the PMCC for the rear climate control screen. The PMCC sits in its bag in the corner in my garage unused.
I'd like the 2021 software for Wireless CarPlay, and I'd like WiFi hotspot to actually start working.
Any of the other things I'd like I didn't get because the car was...
You can only run approved apps with CarPlay, and video apps don't qualify.
Can you run the CarPlay versions of apps with this box, or is it just screen casting?
I hope dual chargers become common from every EVSE manufacturer. If I ever replace my old 32A ChargePoint, it'll be something dual. Bonus points for the CC EVSE being 6-50.
Maybe once WFH is truly done in a few years I'll actually feel the need to charge 2 cars at once, once there's a period...
If you aren't at really low battery % and it's not warm out, you are not likely to get much above 150kW when DC charging anyway. The 2021 can also limit DC fast charge rate.
