The worst loaner I ever had was a complete POS rental from a Porsche dealer. I used different dealer when buying the Taycan.
I understand why a Porsche dealer (especially a smaller one) doesn't have much in the way of loaner options.
I loved my Audi dealer, as they made sure to take care of...
Given the number of people already updated, I'm not concerned that they are going to go forward with it.
I'll believe that they are stopping updates for all VINs once someone posts a TSB or something.
I haven't had any issues with the Taycan any different than with my previous Macan. Actually, I think I've had less issues with the PCM than the Macan.
I immediately went to their site and opted out of them trying to switch me when I got the mail they sent out a few weeks ago. I was scared we were going to be forced to take a TOU plan.
I think that some folks are going to be in for a surprise.
At least you can switch it back if they switch you.
Turning on Automatic (or non-automatic) regen doesn't do anything for range. If anything, you'll get slightly less range, due to regen not being 100% efficient. It's for convenience.
I did the math when we bought a Bolt 3 years ago with real data from my smart meter and the spreadsheets PG&E lets you download. The EV-A and EV-B plans were even at best and often worse than staying on the non-TOU plan. Even with charging the Bolt at night and with the wife doing 15k+...
They're going to ignore the plug and charge problem. For people who bought the 19.2kW option, they'll provide some sort of compensation. And they won't offer it on any new orders. They aren't holding shipment over it, because they aren't going to fix it.
I don't want to derail this thread (so don't answer here), but can you update one of the 2 update threads after you drop your car off and verify that you are getting the WMA6 update? I've booked 2 appointments spaced a week out in hopes the WMA5 update drops in the US before one of them.
