Likely the tires cooled some after sitting, and the longer they sit the harder they are getting. Eventually 2+ ton car will start sliding. Since sliding friction is less than static friction, it's not going to slow down until it hits something.
If it was faulty parking brakes, then it...
Those are summer tires, and they'll be hockey pucks in weather like that. It slid, no doubt. At least you only hit your own family's other car, and no-one was in either car, because it'd be pretty easy to get into a real accident out in traffic driving on those tires in snow.
I've done 2 road trips to Vegas and back from the Bay Area in the past 2 months, and I had no issues charging at EA stations. So it's pretty hit and miss.
How many wires is the 3 phase? If there's a neutral, you can grab any phase and use it. If there's no neutral (meaning a delta configuration) then grab any 2. Or just get an appropriate transformer (if you want 240V)
If you are trying to use all 3 phases, then likely just the 3-phase...
I have the ProClip for holding the phone, and it's been great. I just have the magnetic mount. Half the time I'm too lazy to even plug in the phone. I do always take it out of my pocket for fear of it falling out or getting crushed trying to get in and out of the car. :P
I’m charging at Barstow and when I plugged in it started charging without any interaction from the app.
Pretty cool, since I was trying to get Porsche connect to find my location and it surprised me by starting to charge.
I think people interested in the RWD are going to have to see what options are standard on that model in their region. I expect that it will have a number of things missing, as that's how Porsche does things. The RWD pricing is all marketing anyway.
I got the book and pen package today, and laughed when I read the booklet and it mentioned that there is WiFi access through the cars connection...
One of these years it'll get enabled. :P
Internet forums are terrible places to gather anything other than anecdotal data. Participants are self-selecting for many things, and you'd have a terrible time trying to infer anything about the general population based on forums.
I don't think the "doing something different waiting for the car" is unique to the PMCC and the Taycan. My ChargePoint definitely makes different sounds of relays closing depending on if the wife's Bolt starts charging when plugged in, or if it's waiting to start charging later. I hear the...
I appreciate your contributions to the forum (and I'm just armchair modding here), but doesn't this post (and other posts like it) belong in the Marketplace somewhere?
I expect to start seeing a bunch more of these as cars have been out there for a year. :P
There's no transformer in the EVSE, so I wouldn't expect any issues when things are given the distance apart you are stating.
Of course, if the speaker wire is close and parallel to a high-current wire there could be some inductive coupling, but at the distances you mention, I'd seriously...
