Porsche's best selling product is on a shared platform (heck, the Macan was on the *older* Q5 platform for quite a while), and we wouldn't have new 911's and the Taycan without the sales of the shared platform vehicles.
Sharing a platform with the Q7 isn't preventing any Urus sales.
Completely depends on allocation. You want a Macan? Discounts are no problem, because the dealer can get as many as they want. On a GT3? Good luck. Discounts on Taycan are based on the dealer's allocation. If a dealer is only going to get 2 CT Turbo S allocations in a year, they aren't...
I can see salespeople avoiding reading online forums, as the public ones are generally not great.
I expect my salesperson to be knowledgeable about the car's options in a pre-sales situation, and responsive to questions that documentation from Porsche exists. I only asked about status of...
I always pause the music before turning off the car if I'm using the phone for music (which is fairly rare). Seems to keep it from picking up where it left off when turning the car back on.
Whichever one you like more. They do the same thing. Just don't use the Electrify America app.
Both the Porsche Connect app and the Charging NA app will give you free charging. The Electrify America app will not.
Yep. Would definitely order again. If nothing else, it's pretty cool. Heck, it's like $600 just to get a small part of the mirror in gloss black to look not crappy. :P
If your old charger is 14-50, and the new one is 6-30, then you aren't going to get more than what the 6-30 plug will do, even if the newer charger is more capable.
If the plugs are interchangeable, then sure go ahead and put the 14-50 on the new EVSE. (If they physically can switch, then...
Eco should still run the compressor. If you mean it turns it on when you aren't in the car, there's a comfort setting for that turns it on when the car unlocks.
Automatic climate control is going to automatic. :P
Because the Taycan was new (I literally went a week after getting the car), I did 3 stops both ways for both trips.
It's around 244 miles to Bakersfield from my house, so the trip is likely doable in one stop if you start at 100% from both sides. The EA station in Bakersfield is small, and I...
I almost bought a unit in the Signature when they were super cheap, I think some of the units were available for even less than what you paid. Because it's a condo-hotel, financing was an issue, and arranging for cash in the short period needed to grab one was beyond what I wanted to do...
Charge at the South Premium Outlets in Vegas. I always stay south strip (MGM Platinum member) so it's pretty close to whichever property I'm staying at. (Which these days tends to be Vdara since I'm usually there for a week, and it's good for work). If you are staying at Veer Towers, it'd be...
The two times I've done the San Jose to Vegas round trip, I used the EA site at Walmart. It's in a decent spot, and not far off the highway. I've even run into other Taycan owners charging there (was Las Vegas owner headed to San Diego)
MRM and residuals that aren't particularly great is what keeps me from leasing Porsche usually.
I think I'd prefer to lease large sedans, and BEV large sedans preferentially, due to the usual terrible resale value and saving on sales tax in CA. But the Porsches usually turn out pretty badly...
I've charged (for free) with the Porsche Connect app many times. The latest version of the app kind of sucks for it though, because you can't go back to see the main app page while charging.
You just go to the map tab, click the charger pin, and follow the prompts.
For free charging, you can hope for Plug and Charge to work. For apps, you only need the Porsche Connect app if you don't want to deal with lots of different apps and want to stick to EA stations.
And as mentioned above, the nav can be used to find chargers, and if you set one as a...
