when my heater failed, the service dept suggested that if the windows steamed up it may be unsafe to drive, therefore I got a replacement vehicle. This would only work in winter.
Hi All,
My PCP finishes in March, however, the car is worth £66K and the ballon payment will be £79K. Much as I love the car and want to keep it, I'll have to hand it back and buy a used one.
Has anyone reached out to the finance company/auction and managed to buy their vehicle for what it is...
This is what the dealership sent me when the battery arrived
" The replacement battery has arrived and been inspected for fitment. As this is a Gen 2 battery which they have sent, we need a conversion kit to fit to a Gen 1 Taycan..... Although it is a Gen 2 battery, the vehicle is Gen 1 so it...
The dealership advised me that the battery installed was a J1.2 battery and they had to order a converter.
I believe the original J1.1 battery was faulty on delivery due to the limited range from the outset, I returned it to the dealership to no avail, they claimed no fault found. The new J1.2...
Car returned with the J1.2 battery
2020 J1.1 Taycan Turbo range at 85% was 200 miles and at 100% 240(ish) miles
2023 J1.1 Taycan Turbo S ST range at 85% was 180 miles and at 100% 205 miles
2023 J1.1 Taycan Turbo S ST [WITH J1.2 BATTERY] range at 85% was 205 miles and at 100% 245 miles
Therefore...
I moved from a Gen 1 Turbo S ST to a Gen 2 4S for 2 months whilst my Turbo S got a new battery.
I noticed the bumps as the 4S had coiled suspension rather than air
The Gen 2 range is a definite game changer, seeing in excess of 300 miles on a charge is brilliant.
I had thermal and insulated...
Update from O/P
After just over 2 months in the workshop, I've been told to expect the J1.1 Turbo S back by the end of the week, with J1.2 battery. It will be interesting to see what the range will be
Perhaps because the undertay on the Gen 1 was inadequate at protecting the battery. The Gen 2 undertray is much stronger due to the number of damaged batteries.
Whilst the £40K repair was covered by the insurance, I'll be paying increased insurance premiums for the next 5 years. To me it is...
My Gen 1 battery was damaged and is having to be replaced.
Yesterday I was told that the battery would be replaced with a Gen 2 battery - HAPPY DAYS !!!
However, today the dealership advised that although it is a Gen 2 battery, the vehicle is Gen 1 so it converts the battery (using the...
They had to remove the undertray (£6K) and then found a dent on the battery, they are replacing the whole thing, and apparently they can't get a reconditioned one.
I'm pretty certain I know which speed bump is guilty, I know it bottomed out on it. However, there have been a few lesser scrapes and it is impossible to say which caused the damage. It was pointed out to me when the car was in for a recall
I'm one of the poor souls who bottomed out on a speed bump and have a 7mm dent on the undertray.
Porsche have advised that the battery is damaged, although I've had no issues or loss of range, they are going to replace the battery for £25,000 plus labour.
My question is, has anyone looked at...
Push to Pass comes with the Gen 2, I'm not sure if it's an option but it's on the 4S loan car I have. When you're going to overtake you press "push to pass" button on the steering wheel and get 10 seconds of increased power
