My original Taycan was a 2020 Turbo followed by a 2023 ST Turbo S, this one has had to go into the shop following a dent on the undertray which may result in a new battery.
The loan car is a 2025 4S, which only had 16 miles on the clock when I got it!
Whilst there is little point in comparing performance, there are several differences worthy of note.

Range. The 4S is providing around 255 miles range at 100%, I assume it doesn't have PBP, but it's a game changer compared to the 23 TurboS far more usable on a long journey.

Satnav. The satnav map reports what KW the various chargers have, which my 23 satnav does not, this is really useful, although I would like to see upcoming service stations etc, so I can choose where I want to stop.

Displays. There are more options for the instrument cluster displays which is good.

Seat Belts. Don't shoot me for being a Diva, but the seat belts on the 25 4S seem to be really low quality.

Push to Pass. Love this

4S vs Turbo S options

Air suspension. I really miss this, the difference in comfort is huge compared to coil sprung.

Insulated Glass. After 700 miles over 2 days the increased cabin noise was really noticeable.

Anyone have other thoughts?

What I really want to know is whether the new variant has addressed the couple of dozen software bugs that plague the first variant; and whether they have addressed the main failure risks in the hardware (battery cells; failing 22kW chargers leading to electrical failure; flat 12V batteries after 9 cold days; blocked drains; grit getting into cooling fans…).
I love my Taycan but it’s needed towing to the dealer several times and I do have reservations about the risk of it failing when on a road trip somewhere on the other side of Europe.

we will have to wait and see on the batteries but I have a feeling there will still have problems. I personally have had way more technical glitch problems in the PCM in the 25 then I have ever had on my 20. Best features to me over the .1 are push to pass and unlimited color selection for ambient lighting. Range is a lot better but doesn’t matter to me at all. Live out in the country and have never had a range issue with my turbo.

Deal-breaker should be active-ride and the much better charging speed/ plateau already at 15 degr. Celsius.

No 22 kW charger available anymore, so no problem there ?

Overall a better car but also a lot more expensive.

I'd not go for the Turbo S on J1.2 anymore.
GTS with PCCB would do.

It's a usp of the new Porsche Taycan/ Panamera gen.
To me it would be a no-brainer, but hey: also a lot of discussions about this option and its price.
Effect on range should be close to non-existent.

put the price at the side. why no brainer?

"Adaptive Air Suspension including Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM)" is standard across the J1.2 range now, inc RWD - no?

Push to pass is a button on the sports chrono dial on the steering wheel that gives you 10 seconds of "equal to launch controll" power...

Push to Pass comes with the Gen 2, I'm not sure if it's an option but it's on the 4S loan car I have. When you're going to overtake you press "push to pass" button on the steering wheel and get 10 seconds of increased power
