My Taycan 4s cross tourismo 22’ is already 1 month at dealership ,not able to move and no one knows when the new OBC of 11 KW will be available(instead of the old one of 22 kw)!Its not acceptable for a brand like this after a hole month to be in this situation.I m very unsatisfied from the Porsche.I have read older articles with this famous problem but i thought that they had find a solution.I m owning the car 14-15 months now ,done 6K km only. I m thinking of selling it cause i had the same problem at the moment i purchased it as used, waiting around a month for a recall of brake hoses and always they don t now when the new part will be available in Germany.Very sad for a brand like this and more for an owner who had paid a lot to buy the car+ 1300€/year to extend the warranty.

This is unacceptable and certainly in an EU part of the world.
I am not aware of sourcing issues here in the US.
Brake hoses have been handled long time ago for me Fall 2024.
Not sure about 11kW OBC but should be a standard part.
The issue may be with your dealer not hustling for you.

It won't do any harm to chase. When I was waiting for an HV charger for my brand new J1.2 4S ST I spoke to Porsche GB and they confirmed the dealer principal at my OPC was chasing them every day and they were chasing Porsche AG. New charger took 7 days to arrive. At least you might find out if you OPC is really chasing on your behalf 🤷

There is a shortage of 9.6kW (11kW part number, but limited to 9.6kW in US) OBC's in the US too, cars waiting for parts, no ETA. This is on top of Porsche pushing the idea that nobody needs 19.2kW, so 9.6kW OBC is an equivalent substitute. I guess next they will tell people nobody really needs a Porsche, so they can just give you a Nissan Leaf back when you bring a Taycan Turbo GT in for service and call it even.

PS> I'm on my second 19.2kW OBC. If it breaks, I will probably sue for full repair or buyback, as I would not have bought the car without the 19.2kW OBC (evidenced by all my past 6 EV's having had 19.2kW).

Porsche commits a suicide by doing these mistakes. Also passed from my mind to sur them but i think it has to be a common sur from everyone has or had this problem so to have the chance to win it in sense that we have to do with a colossus

Same for me with brake hoses! It took over 2 months in Porsche center Metamorfosi to fix it! Let me ask, did you use to charge at 22kw or slower most of the times?

I bought the car used from Porsche Stuttgart with a Porsche approved warranty which i prolonged and i still have it.I had paid the entire amount to get the car and after that i got informed that they had to change the brake hoses to release the car from Germany and i waited like a month or more.I had done inly 6000 km in 14-15 months that means i charged the car like 20 times always at home usually at 16,3kw.At the beggining i was charging at 22kw but i had some problems with the net of the house so i decided to reduce it a bit.
As the car us used but bought from the official dealership of Porsche in Stuttgart can i ask for a money back?Tha car is 3 years old with a valid warranty.

My 22 kW Charger went south a month ago.
When the car was towed in, it took Porsche exactly 3 working days to get it back on the street.
They offered compensation for the downsize on 11 kW instead of 22 kW, without me even asking (I would have 😏).
So, I can't imagine, it's a Porsche supply problem, rather than a dealership problem.

My thought was exactly. My dealer would hustle for me to the max if I would be in that situation (well I have a really good dealer relationship). I can actually ask them Monday if there is a shortage of 11kW OBC in the US. But what you are saying, at least in Germany things are good for now.

My situation now, is that I placed an order for Macan EV GTS with July delivery and given global events that may not happen at all, since many parts are needed. For example, Helium shortage that comes from the Gulf states impacts chip production so just that alone already disrupting supply chains. The good news this is a new addition and not a replacement as I am holding on to everything I have.

My 11kW OBC died a while back, but it took me a couple of days to notice as I don't drive the car daily. I discovered that my Charge Amps Dawn charger box had shut down, and it turns out the circuit just cuts every time I plug the charge cable into the car...

I tried the 270kW OBC at a Tesla station, which worked fine (or at least ok; it took 40 minutes to charge 40%...), so the issue clearly is with the AC charger, not the DC charger.

My local PC told me that there is currently a shortage of the 22kW OBC, so if that's also broken (I never tried it as I only use the 11kW OBC, which didn't work in neither of the two charge ports), they will replace it with another 11kW OBC.

I'm scheduled there for tomorrow, so we'll see if it's just the 11kW OBC they replace or if they have to replace the 22kW as well (with another 11kW as well). No mention of there being a shortage of the 11kW OBC though, so hopefully they have those in stock...
