I have and love my 2022 taycan, however I am coming towards the end of my lease. It’s has 50,000 miles. The dealership has a new 2025 taycan they are giving me a good deal on. Both are base models. What would be visible or felt differences? Is the technology better? Mine constantly lags and doesn’t want to connect to Apple play or XM. The macan loner I got had great connections, but I think it was 26 model not 25 and I have hear 26 are much better.

Hi

Just switched from a 23 to a 25, also RWD

Slightly faster acceleration. Software is better, connect to android auto way faster than previous and so far I have not had to restart the system (I did that many times w 2023 model).

The air suspension is better, and raising the car to park in certain places is helpful not to scratch the bottom of the front.

In general better. I like the change.

Regards

If by visible you mean looks, it did have a facelift.

Many seem to prefer the old looks though. New one looks eerily similar to a C6 Corvette.

Still attractive though.

But the extra power, range, and better UI all seem like wins.

Most noticeable difference is range and L3 charging speed.
Slightly faster acceleration is great.
PCM is faster, connect to wireless CarPlay is faster and more reliable for the first few months.
Soft closing door is nice. It's overall a better car.

Currently at the shop for repair no internet and app connectivity.

There are some significant differences but what matters to you? That would be the best way to help you, for example do you want more of these: Range, Handling, Acceleration, Charging in cold weather, Battery warranty, Look, etc. What is the example the dealer trying to sell you with full spec, so we can review it and tell you pros/cons. I did my deep analysis on the revised version and I like my original just the way it is, but I am not leasing either.

I love everything about my car except, I like the self closing doors (have them on my Audi), the technology is slow, constantly updating and half the time either apple play does not work or the XM radio. I build my exactly how I like it. I am worried of buying it with 50,000 miles, holding it for 3 more years and having a hard time selling due to being so close to the warranty end. I would love a AWD but it’s not an option on the car the dealership has. Unfortunately the new car has the self parking, and other things I would not really use.

This is a perfect response, thank you for the context. 2022s that I drove in the past as testers or loaners all had XM radio disappear, but I cannot comment on CarPlay as I do not use that feature. So sounds like, the move to a 2025 or later Taycan has benefits you are seeking. However, why you would not consider ordering one the way you want it or looking for one that is closer to what you need especially if you are looking for what we would call a dual motor kind. We can help you look if you provide some basic things you are looking for with many available on dealer lots.

For example, our dealer has a really nice 2025 Taycan 4. They will ship it to you. I know everyone at the dealer and can facilitate everything:
