I am coming of a leased 2022 Taycan RWD which I love. I have 2 options, one is a 25 4 the other is a Turbo. The turbo will cost me an additional $5,000 down and $300 extra per month. Is it worth it?
You can tune the Taycan 4, then they have the exact same power (or rather the Taycan 4 has more power tuned than the Turbo has stock).
The tune is $3099.
However, I am sure the Taycan Turbo has a much better options list. It would be better if you posted both stickers, then we could compare the options and see if it is worth it or not.
I'm a new 2025 "4" owner that tuned using MapEV. User @prj was nice enough to modify the drive modes so that Gravel/Normal (default) is original HP/torque which I use daily on snow/ice. Only Sport(+) unleash full power.
If the 4 is optioned to your liking, AND you have the skills with tools/panels (I'm a tinkerer), AND your financial/mental situation allows you to take risks with pushing boundaries of warranty, then yeah, go for the 4 no question. Otherwise, pay for the full power and turbo trim using the well-worn path of the manufacturer.
I have the 2025 Turbo and find it looks much better/aggressive. Based on the price difference, looks alone would do it for me. The Turbo can pretty much eat up any car on the road, including fine Italian supercars. The 4 will be eaten by a Volvo Ex30.
Then you have wheels, interior options, usually higher end interior trim, etc that add up in favor of the Turbo in my opinion. I am a big fan of the Turbonite exclusiveness.
Let's see the builds (build codes or window stickers) as you appear to let us know that the cars are on the lot for you to choose from. All comments are spot on. As a J1.1 Turbo owner I took all other trims for extensive multi day test drives and Turbo was the only one for me. I am biased as I own a Cayenne Turbo and owned Macan Turbo in the past and appreciate special packaging that comes with them. There is no substitute for a Turbo badge to me even over Turbo S and Turbo GT.
Not as much XP as Sergey for me, but I drove two 4S at first, and wasn't impressed.
Then I drove a Turbo, and felt a real difference (only a few days appart, similar weather / roads), so I bought the Turbo, but it's only my opinion
(and its look is crazy ! I could never buy a cross turismo or anything else than the "sedan" just for the looks)
I know its not 2025 but when I was looking for my car last year I decided that specific options are more important for me so when this car came to market I jumped on it. I spend additional 2k on the prj tune and now my 4s is as fast as turbo or even more in sport+
I was specifically looking for CT for my GSD
You have options. Enjoy the hunt
