Is anyone else seeing range like this? I know it’s nice and warm out but, this is a good 70-80 miles more than the first few months after delivery. Currently, on a long trip.

In a previous post, I mentioned I did a technique where you drain the battery down to one percent, leave it for six hours, plug it in to plug it into 100%and leave it for six hours before driving . It’s been consistently many miles of range better, which is at least a 20% improvement.

Displayed range is similar to displayed range on a gas car- it changes based on your driving patterns and is only an estimate.

This is after driving 75plus miles an hour on Highways from Central Minnesota to Madison Wisconsin and the range was pretty consistent. Noted that where we normally charge on this trip had much better range on arrival. Previously with my 2022 GTS we had to stop twice to charge!

To answer your question though, no, your actual range didn’t increase 20% by rebalancing the battery. Displayed range is always just a guess. Actual range is determined by how you drive and weather outside. You can see a 10% swing just based on which way the wind blows and 30% or more on temperature.

Yes, I know that but, it sure makes you feel better than when it’s 24 below and I used to have 160 miles range in the ‘22.

It's because you got the 19in wheels.
The 21 inch and 19 inch wheels show a noticeable difference in driving range especially on highway environment.

I just bought our 2025 Taycan 4S. We drove it 1,000 miles back to CO and our range at 80MPH was about 300 miles. However, since we've been back in Colorado the range has averaged 380 miles! I keep waiting for it to get worse and it just keeps getting incredible range.

That’s true. Here’s a question I have, I had a set of 21 inch wheels and winter tires from my previous Taycan that I was planning on putting on this winter. Besides the mileage decrease expected, does anyone know if that’s going to be a problem?

No problem mechanically, but you will have to replace the TPMS-sensors in each wheel if you want to monitor the tyre pressure (and avoid error messages).

why is that? These tires read pressures off of the 22 GTS just fine. Just not sure why they won’t be recognized?

The TPMS in the J1.2 uses a different frequency than what was in the J1.1 (i.e. your 2022 model). So your car would not be able to communicate with the wheels from a 2022-model.

Swapping out the sensors in the wheels lets you combine a J1.1 wheel with a J1.2 car, and vice verca.
