Hey folks

Ive took the exiting and daunting plunge into the EV world
Long story short I’ve just placed a order of the RWD smaller battery Taycan as the smaller battery suits my daily lifestyle

if I can ask just one thing .. maybe you guys can point me in the right direction

what size of charger can I use
on public chargers ?

is it only a AC type 2 or can you still use the DC charger but only get up to 50 KW

any information would be greatly appreciated

You can use the same chargers as any other Taycan. The DC high speed chargers might charge a little slower but not in a noticeable way in real world.

You'll be limited to 225 kW charging rate instead of the 260 kW rate of the larger battery. In real world, it won't make a difference, especially as there is a smaller battery to charge and the car won't stay above 200 kW rate for very long anyways.

You'll still have fast charging and among the fastest in the world currently.

Yep no limits to worry about (some of the DC higher speed / kWh outputs are theoretical and dependent on other factors you can't control).

You can use any AC charger as the car will determine how much charging current it can draw + in this case 11kW. So if you hook up to a 22kW device no harm will come and you will charge at 11kW.

I’m not doing big miles and I can charge it at my work place and at home
It looks like I’m good to go
Just need to wait patiently

thank you for your reply
