$500 voucher

took delivery of the car a week ago and wake up to this email from Porsche saying something about a 240v cable being not available and offering me a $500 voucher. i have read the email 5 times and could not understand what it means haha.

I received a charger with the car (never used it because I have chargers in my building), am I supposed to receive a 240v cable?

Yes, it should be a cable less than two feet long with a NEMA 14-50 plug on one end and the EVSE's connection on the other.

Based on reading the dealer letter, you have the "free" Mobile Charger Plus. They are probably updating the cable to address overheating problems. Absolutely use the $750 to order a third party charger that will come with a 240V plug and enjoy your $500 service voucher, which, if all goes well, you won't use for two years.

Which charger do you have (if you don't know Porsche charger models, include a picture)?

@tonyyang0420 , let us know which $750 interim charger the dealer will procure for you. I'd be curious which brand Porsche supplies.

Can you set out what you actually got with the car?

I'm in the UK, so likely different, but I got...

- white Porsche EVSE (no touch screen, just buttons).

- cable for EVSE to car

- 2 cables from EVSE to wall outlets
- one UK 3-pin
- 1 UK commando (higher amperage capable cable)...this one may have been an option?

- one cable for charging the car at charge points with no cable ("untethered")

In the US we don't have public chargers with no cable. It's a European thing, and a good idea.

So they may have taken the 240v plug out of the kit... they should have unless your car was delivered before the notice. its a $750 max reimbursement for a charger.... think there is like 3-4 that Porsche recommends... Then an additional $500 voucher for like tequipment or clothing! You will get the 240v plug from Porsche later...
