AC Charging Issue on 2022 Taycan GTS ST – DC Works Fine

Hey everyone,

I've had my "new to me" 2022 Taycan GTS Sport Turismo since last November. After 7 months and about 8,000 km of completely trouble-free driving, I ran into my first issue yesterday. The car suddenly stopped charging on AC. I've tried multiple AC charging stations, but each time the car just tries to initiate charging and nothing actually happens. No error messages, just no charging.

I tested a DC fast charger, and thankfully DC charging works perfectly.

After reading through some posts here, I suspect that the 22kW onboard AC charger might have failed.
I'm planning to call Porsche tomorrow to get it checked out.

Has anyone else experienced a similar issue? Any tips or insights would be appreciated!

I hope they fix or replace it in the coming weeks because I am going on a long trip next month and will need the car. Does anyone know how long it takes to replace/fix the OBC?

It is waiting for you to press "Direct Charging" - tap that and try.

This will bypass and timers or or profiles you may have set and active. Not required when DC charging.

I tried that yesterday, but nothing changed. I only have one profile — the 'General' one — and it's set to 75% charg limit.

Official time to replace the OBC is around 7hrs; there'll be some additional diag and checks but the limiting factor will be part supply.

Does anyone know how long it takes to replace/fix the OBC?

Mine was done within 48 hours of dropping it off.

Took 3 days on my 2021, under warranty but dealer said would have cost over $7000.00!

One week waiting in the parking lot to be looked at. A few days to diagnose the issue, a week to get the part, and another week because they missed one part. Three weeks is what I’ve seen so far.
Three days will be amazing.

I live 300 km from the Porsche factory, and my car is from the main Porsche dealer in Switzerland. I would be surprised if they can afford to have a car sitting for three weeks?. If they do not have available parts, I hope they can be shipped from Germany in a reasonable time ?.

I just got this diagnosis on Thursday. Dealer placed the order for the 22kw OBC, but there is no apparent stock of the newest unit (3rd gen). So..... no idea when the part will show up.
