Hi guys, I picked up my CT back in September And had false alarms going of the first night I had it home. Annoying and a bit embarrassing. Porsche Irvine was super attentive to the issue and tried a host of things to fix it including swapping out two of the main computers (center screen was going black). Not a happy new Porsche owner back in September.
My Porsche Irvine Service advisor reached out too me a few weeks ago to bring thee car in to run a test (15 mins) to confirm my car had the alarm issue. Confirmed and then they they order the new sensors (apparently that’s the PNA process).
Had sensors replaced and the software service bulletin re-flash and it’s been two week and no issues regardless of a single tap or double tap on key fob.. Fingers crossed! The previous post noted the deletion of the alarm function on the app which would indicate as I had suspected that the PC app had something to do with triggering the alarm.
Anyway for all of you with false alarm issues the new sensors appear to solve the false alarm issue…..

3 weeks in and still no alarm issues and everything is working as a Porsche should !

Based on my experience, they won't order the part until they have read the codes and confirmed that the issue is present. I had to take two trips for this fix.
Correct Porsche SA needs to run a quick check to confirm your car has the false alarm issue.

Ahh thanks for asking, I knew I forgot something.

The Fitcamx stayed there the entire time, they didn't mention it.
Had my alarm sensor replaced yesterday and is now working properly. The Fitcam I have installed was not mentioned by my SA.

Others have said they haven’t needed to - but the work sheet definitely says they need to check codes before they order parts.

Dealer informed me that the replacement sensor has finally arrived at the dealership here, after a wait of nearly 5 months. I'll report after the job is done, but reading form previous posts there seems to be reason for optimism.

I got my Taycan serviced about 2 weeks ago and was told that the service dept was advised by corporate NOT to replace the sensor. They indicated it was a software issue and that replacing the sensor wouldn't do much to resolve the issue since the same problem can occur with a different sensor. But seeing all the posts here about the issue going away after replacing the sensor makes me think otherwise. Apparently Porsche is working on updating the software that should address the alarm issue. I'm just not sure what's going to be faster...either wait for a software fix or wait for the replacement part. lol

Anybody ever not able to silence the alarm at all? Double press, disable interior, still goes off instantly once the car is locked? Could not shut it off.

I let it sit unlocked for an hour after multiple failed attempts to silence it and it finally locked without alarm.

Afraid this will crop up again when I'm in a place where I acutually need it locked...

Had mine replaced 2 weeks ago and now works perfectly. The following Porsche bulletin discusses the problem and replacement process. https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2022/MC-10208643-0001.pdf

I've not had any problem for almost 3 or 4 weeks. I don't even have to worry about the car now and the alarm operates as expected.

The sensor was the fix. This was my primary complain with the car, so with this resolved finally I can't really say there's much I have an issue with other than the abysmal backup camera :)

Had min done a week ago...all good now. It has its advantages being "close" to Germany it seems, as i had to wait only roughly a week between reporting the issue to my dealer until it had been fixed :)

Dealer told me the sensors are on back order, waiting for them to show up so I can have them replaced

I'm just as close but had to wait for months. Guess it's not a proximity thing but more about availability of the new sensors, that seems to have picked up within a month or so.

A few days in after the replacement was installed, and no false alarms so looks as it did the trick here too.

Strange to unlearn the double click.
