Announced: Software update for 2020 Taycan models ?

I dropped my 4s early this morning. Dealership said that downloading the software and then uploading into vehicle is taking longer than expected, so they kept the car overnight. Mine was the first '20 they've done, so they are not sure what to expect. Guess I will find out mid-day if everything loads properly. The big bummer is that it took me forever to get the homelink for the garage set up, and I was not even sure what I did, so I guess that will one of the first things play with once I get home.

Let me know if your car blows up, as my 2020 is booked-in for 6th April.

My Taycan Turbo S did luckily not blow up, and it's still all in one piece including all four wheels

I picked it up yesterday, after staying over the weekend at Porsche Center Son. The update took about nine hours, which included my charger. Everything in the systems works smoothly. I'm especially happy about the long wanted wireless car play and the automatic suspension rising on locations. I haven't yet got through it all, but it also looks like several several visual improvements here and there, among closer zoom on the 3D view when parking to prevent damaging the wheels. There are a lot more in this update to discover, which I will experience in the coming days to come.

Prior to the pick up I passed a police control on my way out to Porsche center, and noticed 5 drivers looking sad waiting for their punishment (like huge Norwegian fines or lost driving licenses). On my return back home I kept my head low resulting a long queue of cars in my rear mirror, in risk not to suffer the very same treatment. My speed was not very Porsche like I must admit, and presumably to some irritation from most of the vehicles behind me I therefore haven't yet tested the increased 0.2 sec performance 0-200 km/t . . . but I will, on track perhaps soon, far away from laser controls

Any improvement in the contrast or readability of the navigation system’s map by any chance?

Didn't get email but fortunately I'm in touch with service manager and he let me know so I dropped my 2020 Turbo off today for WMA5 and WMA7 (Charger). Will come back here if anything new to add or worthwhile that hasn't been shared already.

Rich: I dropped my 4s off yesterday, but it takes a while to download the software and then update the car. I have not heard word yet on status, but sticking with the "car blowing up" theme earlier in this thread, I have not seen any smoking coming from the direction of the dealership, so I am optimistic it should be done by lunch today. Then I will spend the early evening setting up all my preferences again. I will report if I see anything that has not already been shared by others in this thread.

I dropped my car off and there was Turbo S right behind me to also do the update. They said they have done some before.

I did not ask if any cars have blown up as a result, but I did a quick look around the service bay and I did not see any obvious charring or fire damage, nor did I see any Taycan parts blown across the area.

I have yet to receive an e-mail from Porsche, but I've been pestering my dealer and as soon as my VIN popped up in the data base I received an appointment for this Thursday, April 1st. Yikes!

I am absolutely not superstitious. It will be amusing to see if all goes well considering the date ;-}

I am based in California and received the email yesterday morning. I already scheduled with the dealer on April 12th. You should just go ahead and reach out to your dealer to schedule for the update.
