Call porsche assist. Tell them you can’t drive the car because without heating you can’t demist the windscreen and can’t see out.
I think they are right saying porsche assist will get your car skipping the queue.
I think it has to do with dealer contract with Porsche Germany.
They are required to strict follow protocol.
Don’t drive the car in. Have them collect it, cause you can’t drive it.

....but just beware you may get an Enterprise rental car doing it this way.
AA to do the recovery/ Enterprise to do the courtesy car - at least that's how it used to be.

When I did this when my heater failed the 1st time, I ended up with an Enterprise clapped out old Lexus hybrid for the week.

My heater broke last week also. I have a 4S CT 23, there already has been a recall for the heater on my car. I got pissed because the car had already been in the garage for 5 days beginning of the month. I told them to keep the car and to give me a courtesy car. They couldn't. They told me I had to call porsche assist, have them pick up the car at my house and the process would be much quicker. And assistance would drop me a courtesy car at my house. Not pleased with that obviously. But that' what I did in the end and it went really smoothly. Hats off to Porsche assistance. I'm now waiting for a new heater, hopefully by end of this week.

As I understood from the dealer it took 4 days before they had managed to look at the car. 1 day to fix it.

Jaguar did the same thing to me years ago. I had a check engine light and the dealer told me to call Jag assist. They came and replaced the EGR valve on the drive.

What's so new tech about the heaters on the Taycan, that means they're less reliable than a 1970's British Leyland product.

First post on this forum about failing heater was in October, 2020. We hoped that replacing all Taycan heaters manufactured before February, 2023, would fix the problem.

Shall we start to assume this is part of ongoing maintenance in the future? Heater matrix replacement every 2-3 years if lucky?
How much would the replacement cost out of warranty?

Perhaps dealer will start selling heater maintenance plans, an "oil change service" substitute for Porsche EVs.

Very valuable info! Repair around 2k pounds mark.
And suddenly all the Taycan have dropped additional 2k in value….at this speed we will see 2020 Taycan on the market for 8-10 grand…

Has Porsche installed a very different cabin heater module compared to Volvo, Mercedes. BMW, Tesla or any Stellantis models?

Has anybody heard any complaints about this from other brands. I am very surprised that even the newly designed ones are breaking down again? All EV’s need a heater so what has Porsche done differently??
