Hi BigBob - Thanks for your insight. I will look into your suggestion. By the way, was your connectivity issue finally resolved after you took your Taycan into your service center? If so, for how long has it been trouble-free?
Yes, it was fixed when it went into dealership. I tried pulling fuses etc but nothing got it working.
Had happened in past too, but eventually sorted itself after a week or so. But not the last time.
Been ok since dealer visit. 6 months maybe. They didn’t tell me what they did.

Glad to hear it has been trouble free for around 6 months. Fingers crossed that they fixed it for good.

Disconnecting the 12v battery is the often recommended fix. However, in right hand drive cars (mine at least) the terminals are virtually inaccessible.

Just to update this thread. I took delivery of my MY 2025 Turbo S in mid April this year. Within 3 weeks, the App no longer updated and could not use any of the features that the app supports (remote park, lock, SOC, etc). Porsche said my OTA module was faulty, so in late August, three months later they replaced it with a new OTA module.

All good until mid November. Now, I'm having the same issue. So in 7 months of ownership, I've had access to the App functions for about 3 months. I haven't taken it back to the dealer, hoping it would fix itself, but so far, it hasn't.

Adding another wrinkle that may or may not be related, when I bought the car (Hennessy, Atlanta), the dealer installed Apex Protect (they added the cost to my initial invoice, and I refused it, but they seem to have added it anyway at no charge).

Since early November Apex is now triggering multiple false movement alerts per day, while the car is in my garage. I contacted Apex and they said the device is reporting as intended, but that the unit seems to be emitting a weak signal and should be physically inspected at the dealership.

I don't really care about the Apex issue, since it doesn't offer anything the Porsche App would offer (if it worked). But does anyone have any thoughts on this issue?

I'd really like to be able to use the remote functions and, well at some point I'll be paying for them.

Yet another update on this subject ...

After having connectivity restored on my Taycan in August 2025 it suddenly went out again in late December. I reached out to Porsche's North America Connect and Charge experts, and they advised to take my Taycan into my local Porsche Service Center.

It took me several weeks to secure an appointment at my local Porsche Service Center, but after leaving my car with them over the weekend they quickly fixed this issue. This time they said that they "Checked connect control unit for software update, and found that a new update is available". They performed the software update and connectivity to my Taycan was restored.

I checked my vehicle, and was not able to find a way to identify the specific software vesion being used for the communications control unit. All I could find is that my PCM Software version is 4360.

Anybody know how to find out the software version number for the communications control unit?

Anyway, fingers crossed that the software update solves the problem for good....

I don't think you will find such details - there are so many control units and software packages to the extent that they aren't listed / accessible.
