I am cautiously excited as my car just finished production and is scheduled to be released for 3/23, port departure on 3/29, US arrival by 4/14 and delivery on the 18th.

My time sheet originally scheduled production completion on 3/10 with shipping on 3/17 so about a 2 week delay. That said my dealer had told me to expect May delivery so I’m tracking ahead of expectations. Hope it sticks!

edit: TYD just showed it is released for transport! Fingers crossed it doesn’t get held up for a heater.

Crossing fingers for you!! Mine came into Baltimore this week, and even though I can still hardly believe it, I've been told it's on a truck to my dealer as of last night. Maybe we have a lucky port... or color? ?

I'd be interested in seeing where others are seeing the ship name in TYD. Mine doesn't show any ship and the TYD location, which I realize may just be a generic timeline put on a map is vastly different than where any boat that I know of that my car MIGHT me on.

Mine arrived at Houston last week and the dealer in St Louis on Saturday. Turned out TYD was extremely accurate since production complete, even though I still can't determine what vessel it was on. The closest timing was Siem Cicero which arrived in Houston on the same day my dealer confirmed my car arrived in St Louis - so puzzling!

I wonder if that is generally accurate as far as the position of the boat or does just progress based on an average speed of cargo ships? It also shows my car went North around UK whereas I haven’t seen one ship from Emden do that. TYD shows my car left on 3/13 but the only boat going to JAX that I can find close to that actually left 3/17.

Not that it really matters… just hanging looking to hang my “anticipation hat” on something.

It seems to be more of an illustrative progression based on average speed. Mine also showed north of UK but none of the boats I tracked went that direction. There was a big storm during my transit and most vessels seemed to stop or significantly slow down for a few days, but TYD didn't pick that up.

That’s what I was thinking. Too bad all the ship tracking websites make you pay for the satellite coverage.

My TYD is stuck in step 7 arrived at German port since 3/23. it is scheduled to arrive in Houston 4/15. to my dealer4/21.
Anyone waiting for a ship to Houston?

That’s what I was thinking. Too bad all the ship tracking websites make you pay for the satellite coverage.

Fleetmon.com gave me satellite the whole way for free. Just not dynamic ETA updates. But lots of free info on speed, ship declarations, etc. And ports post real time expected arrivals. You just have the figure out which ship you're probably on by looking at the VW shipping schedules, or your dealer probably knows.

The current ETA for Halifax is 3/31, yet the VW shipping schedule shows 3/28. It's behind schedule. It only arrived in Emden on 3/13, but didn't leave until 3/18. So while the ETA for Jacksonville on the schedule is 4/3, figure at least 4/6 or later. If those dates roughly match up with your TYD I'd say you're on the right track, and you're on the Confucius!

1 of 2 arrived today may be a week later than expected and PDI checked out perfect.
2 of 2 is at the port today and on track to arrive next week.

what date did you get to stage 3? I'm at stage 3 since 3/16 and my delivery got pushed back 2 weeks

Got to Stage 3 on 3/23 with Stage 4 showing as 4/16 but delivery moved ahead from 5/29 to 5/18
I do not believe any of the dates as it moved all over the place since I got an allocation on 1/5

I believe more when Taycans actually arrive to my dealership and how far off they are from expected dates, which is what gives me hope for mine, since everything is arriving within a week of expected dates. Everything is simply a total of 2 that are my SA's that are arriving now, 1 for another SA arriving in April, and then mine in May and there is nothing else.

stage 2 (freeze date) -3/4
stage 3-3/16
stage 4(production)- 3/17
stage 5 -4/14

original estimate delivery was 5/16 now shows 6/4, but im still on stage 3, doesn't show stage 4 on TYD

My TYD shows my car should have left the German Port to Houston on 3/23. however it is stuck in the previous step. Car at German port.
Did anyone find out their car was on a ship but the TYD did not update, until much later?

My car still shows delivery date 4/21
