Hi.

My battery charging seems to have been limited to 80%. I know it’s advised etc but hadn’t been aware it was coded in or whatever. I can’t see anything in the charging

profiles or timers that might be causing it to stop at 80% at all costs.

My charging controlled via ovo charge anytime/inode profile.

Only noticed with reference to home charging and not on direct charging setting (which I haven’t tried)

Anyone else?

Have you tried Direct Charging (or whatever it's called in your region)?

Nope, or letting DC charging go over 80% either. Will give the direct charging a go later.

I have noticed the same thing. I have it set to 85% and it stops at 80%. If I try to direct charge it will continue to charge. I get an error message on the app in the morning stating target charge can't be met. This only started a couple of weeks ago. I have asked my dealer and they said they will look into it but I suspect they may have limited it via an ota update

Have you both had ARB6 dealer visits? Did this start immediately afterwards?
A Porsche Connect app update is another possibility, maybe for ARB6 VINs.

I’ve had 2 visits. Pretty sure it was doing it before the last visit. Not sure if it started immediately after the 1st visit or not though.

If you want to charge to 100%, you need to "change" your recall to ARB7 by turning on your OTA monitoring for Porsche. Otherwise, you stay limited to 80% until they have a fix. But I don't think there will ever be a "fix" because they have a situation where the battery cells need to be monitored in order to avoid a catastrophe or keep them under 80% of charge. The monitoring is the "fix".

You can’t switch from ARB6 to ARB7. Once a 6, always a 6.

If it’s 80% for life then they can give me either a new battery or a heap of cash!!

I did the ARB6 recall a few months ago and was not affected. The limitation only started about 2 weeks ago leading me to believe it's an ota update.

Yep they could have switched it on via OTA I guess. I think mine seems to hv been limited for more than 2 weeks though.

If they are limiting battery capacity to 80%, I guess it must be nibbling at the edges of triggering the 70% battery warranty threshold. Ie if the SoH of your battery is less than 90% combined with the 80% limit.

Good luck with that I guess.

weird. my car has arb6 & 7 attached, was just at dealer and has ALL campaigns addressed other than those. And yes I have remote monitoring turned on... nobody knows why it has both and can't figure it out.

Anyway, recently (2 days ago) charged to 100% (ac 8kw charger) and a. the car did not blow up and b. it charged to 100%.

My 22 4S was originally ARB7. Is now part of ARB6. Dealer says remote monitoring is active. Today I charged the car to 85% on AC with general profile set to 85%.
