So there I was building myself an Audi to see how it compared to the new Taycan GT and noticed that it was significantly cheaper. After some investigation it turns out they are offering a 15k contribution on personal PCP finance already.

It seems to be a bit faster than the Turbo S and a bit slower than the GT. Arguably nicer looking than the Taycan (subjective I know) and I'd say the interior is better. You also don't appear to have a crazy long options list as they are well spec'd.

For the price though, it seems like a bit of a bargain.

Probably worth about 80k in 12 months so worth holding out though, but still.

The RS Performance is slower than the Turbo S, but now they are much closer to each other than J1.1
I love the CF roof on the Audi over the Taycans. Audi suspension is also been tuned to more like the Tayans now, steering also most the same

2.9% apr too.

But the £165k one i spec'd has a GFV of £52k. Agreeing to a (worst case) of £113k deprecation across four years is madness..... Nearly £30k a year! wtaf!

A 135k 911 gts holds onto £85k Of its value....... I know what i'd be buying..

I'm currently in a 2024 E-Tron GT, and I spent several days in a rented 2021 Taycan Turbo S. Despite not being a fan of touchscreen HVAC controls, I'd actually say I like the Taycan's interior slightly better overall.

It's little things that add up. A dedicated wheel for changing drive modes, rather than in the Audi where you have a button and then have to hit the touchscreen. A dedicated (if capacitive) button for raising the suspension. GPS memory for where you raise it so it can do it automatically (the Audi does not have this). Some weirdness in the Audi like tiny cupholders, less usable door pockets, and window switches that are oddly far forward on the door.

Plus the Taycan's HVAC control screen has haptic feedback, which I did not expect. Still inferior to my Audi's physical buttons, but not as bad as I thought it would be.

And the 2025+ E-Tron GT has capacitive touch buttons on the steering wheel. That's pretty much disqualifying on its own.

I've got a little under three years on the lease still, but I'm already thinking of going for a 2025+ Taycan Sport Turismo afterwards. Hence why I'm here.

No lie though, the price difference is real. I basically got 20% off MSRP with my lease deal. I've seen other people talk about way crazier deals than I got too. Granted those deals probably don't exist for the 2025 models.

On my RS E-Tron GT the MMI screen is always on drive mode select because I switch so often between them.
The new RS E-Tron GT Performance has the button to switch driving modes similar to the Taycans Sport Chrono switch on the wheel.

I drove the 2025 Prestige and the capacitive touch buttons were not that bad. In the Q4 E-Tron they are much better and I almost prefer them. They have a same tactile click but you also get the ability to slide. Granted this is all an attempt to save money by Audi.

The Audi interior space is completely useless. My frunk holds my wallet, 2nd phone and anything else that belongs in the car.
VAG made the Taycan at least slightly better on most counts to make a better car

Agree with most of your points on the Audi interior, but FYI you don’t have to use the touchscreen after hitting the button to change drive modes. You can click the button multiple times and it will cycle through all modes.

That being said, I would prefer a knob on the wheel if that was an option.

My turbo s has depreciated over 100k in less than 2 years.

Only if you paid cash..... Two years ago on a pcp your turbo GFV would not have been £100k less than purchase after two years. If it was; you wouldn't have bought it!

The lease agreement was i think like 80k upfront with an 9% interest rate 2 years. So yes I paid cash.
