Battery Module Replacement Begins

I just found out my battery has to be container shipped for the repair as well. 2 months without the car is expectation. I asked if they could get the parts for the brake recall and complete both within that same 2 months. The answer I got back was the new parts for the brake issue are not even in the parts system to place an order yet. No timeline on when those parts will be available but if they do become available, they will order right away and try to complete before returning the car.

There is a global recall on the brake hose. Apparently the one they used previously (which covers almost all the Taycans they sold) is prone to cracking. They will be replacing it with parts that would be more flexible and less prone to cracking.

Just had mine scheduled in the north east and they gave me a 6-week estimate on turnaround from start to finish.

Update: I checked with my dealer today since it's been almost 3 weeks since I took the car in and the original estimate for work complete on the battery module replacement was one month. I was informed that the battery was shipped early last week to Oklahoma City and the turnaround there is expected to be 4-5 weeks. That means that if everything goes perfectly (when was the last time that happened?) my Taycan will have been gone at least 2 months by the time I get it back.

Did you get yours back? I had mine taken to get repaired in mid August and still don't have it back.

It took almost 3 months before I got the car back. In the interim, I negotiated a settlement with PCNA and upon its return I handed it over to them.

Wow. That's insane. When you say got handed it back to them and negotiated a settlement, do you mean they agreed to a buyback? I have been considering going down this path because I have little faith they have any idea what they're doing and are just following the bare minimum required by the regulators.
