As a wise frog once said, “it’s not easy being green”. My 2 year old Mamba Green CT evokes random thumbs ups and gawking expressions. Whether that’s a good thing or a bad thing is debatable.

I chose Mamba because i love the way it looks in the bright sunlight. We get A LOT of that down here in TX so i am a happy camper.

I love my Mamba Green Metallic 2020 4S, and folks go out of their way to complement it...especially old ladies. It's the color of Spring grass.....park it on the lawn and it disappears.
It's on longer a standard color option, so it is likely to hold its appeal.

Or you could think of your request as what is the rare colors that hold resale. But I agree with everyone, this is a moot point on Taycan. Paint To Sample is really the only color that will sell for more as it will be more rare.

PTS is a very personal choice. Personalized products usually hold lower resale value, unless the original owner is famous. This is because it takes longer to find a buyer, which costs the dealer more money in interest/storage/maintenance/depreciation.

I'm with you on that - though I ended up with a Gentian GTS as the spec was too good to turn down.

Well it’s a look for sure and not bad. And that’s surely part of the Porsche schtick is that you can ‘design’ your own car. Porsche then connive to charge for extras like doors and steering wheels but in a uniform world it allows some self-expression albeit at a price.

We went with black. We just did black vinyl over the chrome trim. All preference of course. I originally like the chrome, but now like the black.

i don't think primary color types is material element of pricing for a low volume car, i.e. whites is not harder to sell than blacks, at least not statistically significant.

More so I think vibrant colors are more likely to fetch a higher price, but harder to sell in the Porsche world, e.g. UltraViolet, Tanzanite Blue, Cream White, etc.

There are also "odd" colors that are not typical, which I think makes the car difficult to sell for example, pastel colors, and shades that are not typical of the primary colors, e.g. Nato Olive, Pastel Orange, anything yellow, Acid Green, etc.

Ultimately Porsche designers knows best, and if you stay with the current non-PTS color templates, resale should not be an issue, and moreso certain colors will be more desirable.


Personally, if I were to build my Taycan, I would choose one of these based on my prevailing mood and budget:
- Carmine Red
- Pale Blue
- Oak Green
- Provence
- Purple Sky
- Gentian Blue
- Ice Grey
