My daughter calls my mamba green Taycan the ‘look at me car’ and my wife ‘the flying green bogey’ but it’s just a gorgeous car and I’ve never had a car that has sooo many compliments for its colour. I have had dozens of strangers stop me to express admiration and not one to say they dislike it. Sadly now retired by Porsche and not even on the standard paint to sample.
Didn't realisecit had been retired completely. Sad day.

Love mine, it's a wonderful colour!

Mine is BGBM - Big green bogey machine!

Some dealers will also complain dislike customizations. Long ago, when I ordered a custom 911C4, after reviewing the options list, the dealer requested a higher deposit to lock it pre-production, purely due to the fact that I paid extra to delete a sunroof. Sunroof was an option, which came included with either the C4 trim or one of the options packages I selected, Porsche let me pay extra to then remove the sunroof (not something they would do today btw, as I inquired about ordering a J1 I Taycan Turbo S without power charge port, got a solid no on that). The dealer said the higher deposit was required in case I back out, because it would be harder for them to move the car. So I guess there are some options combinations which at least some dealers believe would be harder to move.
The dealer where I ordered my car had a mamba green one with the brown olea leather. I liked it but it had 18 way seats and I wanted massage ventilated seats, a glass roof which I would prefer not to have and "privacy glass" which is a complete no-no for me. It didn't sell quickly.

I like to see what's the longest number of monochrome cars all parked in a single row on a car park.

I once counted about 20 before a single colour interrupted it.
Just after the turn of the century, when silver cars came in to vogue (perhaps following availability of improved metallic finishes?), I went to collect my hire car from the airport rental compound and found myself staring in bewilderment at a field full of hundreds of cars- every single one without exception was silver.
I've only recently recovered from that experience enough to consider silver (preferably GT on something appropriate!) a possibility for me.

it’s about choosing a cool color you like and having it coincide with Porsche PTS which is being offered at non-PTS price on a particular model. Ie Oak Green Neo - that’s a legend and a PTS normally but available on current gen Porsches at ~3.5-4K premium.
for me was a no brainer - previous was mamba green, the 2025 4CT on order will be Oak Green. BTW my 2023 mamba green sold reasonably good losing “only” 30% ?

I remember when everyone went silver. I think it was Mercedes that started it.

Then a few years later, white became fashionable (if a car had black contrasting trim parts). I remember seeing a Lambo and an Audi R8 and in this combo and thinking they looked stunning.

Dark grey seems to have been the go to over the last decade or so.
Or Primer Grey.

My perfect spec!

For every seat there's a buyer.

Hate boring monochrome exteriors and hate black hole of Calcutta interiors.

In fact I have my next car configured just like that except Oak as you can't get Mamba anymore.

My preference would be the White. What do you think about a Cherry Metallic (as it is a second favorite)with black/aromatic Beige? I'm just anxious about resale but the car has all specs I wanted.
As a card carrying member of the black Taycan club, I am biased against any color other than black, but I did see a cherry metallic, once, in a dealer showroom (never in the wild) and was really blown away. It was just a stunningly beautiful car. I wouldn't worry at all about resale value vs any other color.

I had selected the brown olea leather too initially but in my seemingly endless wait for an allocation dicked around with all the non-black interiors and once I tried Neodyme highlights the Blackberry looked a bit nicer to me.

A member here mentioned how much his wife liked the massage seats and I was going for ventilated (I HATE being hot) anyway so that was an easy one.

I am bored rigid by black interiors too, almost every sporty car thrusts it on you.

Quite agree. Had massaging seats in my old E63AMG estate (proper 63 not a turbo) and they were superb on Berlin or Alps trips. Once you've had them, you don't go back.

Next Taycan.....

I guess there exist more than one really hard to move options combinations, even in an overheated market like the post-pandemic world. Up until now I thought it had to be a pink Taycan with brown seats and green stitching (the only Taycan I saw that didn't sell near instantly in the US during those times).
