Hi,
I have been very pleased with my 22 cross turismo with less than 30kkm driven so far. However last week Thu the car stopped working with yellow ”electricity system error / service required” note. Nor the drive or reverse worked. The local Porsche service was prompt and delivered loan car within 2.5hours while took the Taycan to the service. After some reseach the faulty unit was the internal 22kW charger. Took 8 days to get that fixed and now I am back in driving the car.
How common is the internal charger issue? To me this triggered the extra service order as the default warranty will end early next year.

Used to be very common – I had 3 replaced on my first Taycan. But a software update fixed the primary issue and now it is fairly uncommon. Did your car have the "big update" that introduced the colour icons on the PCM?

I had exactly the same error this Wednesday. Car was in a public AC charger and once I arrived to the car it was giving error on electricity system.

Could not switch to drive or reverse, so it was taken to service center. Today heard that the issue was that the 22kW charger is broken. There are shortage of the replacement components so it will take 3 weeks for new charger to arrive….

Car is Taycan Turbo from June 2022, so it seems that 2022 cars have issues with the charger as well.

So sorry to hear. For me it took 5days to get the new part from Germany to Finland. Original estimation was the same 3 week or so.
Thumbs up that you would get your car back to drive sooner than expected!
