Actually that's pretty bad..I think the BMW makes better when it comes to EV.
I do own both Taycan and BMW iX and my 3 years old preface lift version of iX can drive up to 390 miles

True that BMW iX has better software, better internal size,. and better range than even a J1.2 Taycan, but I found, as did “savagegeese” (Mark personally owns one for his family driving), that my iX was as much fun driving as driving a living room couch. Thankfully BMW paid me $1 for $1 everything I deserved on a very early lease return on it, and I thus turned it back in and bought a Macan EV Turbo. I have since been loving now driving a vehicle that inspires driving passion and excitement.

To each, their own choices…

Real world in high ambient temperature climates .... that rules out many countries in the world including UK.

Compared to who? The Taycan has won multiple best car accolades and was a longstanding best in class for charging speed. The new Cayenne EV appears to be a roadtripping monster. I have plenty of complaints about Porsche and my Taycan, but I would not say that they have "No clue" re: EVs.

Real world you have to adjust for the “ugliness quotient.” That brings it down to 245 miles.

Much like a moped, it doesn’t matter how efficient it is if I’d never want to be seen driving one.
