Dear fellow Taycanists,
I am a positiv man and I am planing to travel to the Netherlands this summer. Yeah I know it does not look like it right now, but as I said I am positiv.
So my question is whether there is a Charging card or App you would recommend for charging in the Netherlands. In Germany it would be the ENBW Card/App or the Shell Card (IMHO).

Would be a great opportunity to see the progress on Plug & Charge? IONITY should be sufficient? Fastned is popular I think https://fastnedcharging.com/en/locations

Fastned is convenient but it's rather expensive.
It does have Plug&Charge though.

I wouldn't worry too much cuz we have the highest number of chargers per km2..............in the world. :)

Allego, Ionity, EVBox, Maingau (which is German btw, good prices) https://www.maingau-energie.de/e-mobilitaet

Thank you very much.
After I nearly stranded in Germany because non of my cards worked on two chargers I got myself nearly every german card there is. So I also got the Maingau, great! I will also try to get the Fastned. I wounder if my german IONITY plug and charge will work outside Germany.
I guess not...

I thought so too about the highest numbers of chargers, but when you go past Amsterdam to Zandvoort it shows only a few real chargers (100kw+)

The German charging infrastructure is third world class.
You should try the French charging then! Not much to shout about! You can not travel from Monaco to Biarritz on the west coast using Ionity or any other HPC network. There is a lot of room for improvement.

On the other hand Macron has just announced a new lockdown so no use for the Taycan,

A trick you might want to use to pay less(Fastned 0,59 - Shell 0,35): Use the Shell Recharge app, available for both iPhone and Android. It shows a map and you can set filters for our fast charging port and high kW.

First post ;-)

Cheers, Ben

I also use Shell Newmotion. Fast enough (max 175 kwh) and way cheaper than Fastned 0.35 vs 0.59 per kwh

Is competition helping to get down these sky high prices?
You can have a monthly subscription at Fastned so you pay less per kWh.
But competition is always good.
Problem is, sometimes it's not clear what price they are charging.
There's a lobby going on about making that more clear.
From that point on, competition is more visible.
