Wow, it’s scary that our cars could become bricked due to their inability to recharge.

@Cabblock are you still able to DC charge normally?

I hope so but not verified yet.

Same issues here since last month. Mine is a MY2023 RWD PB+ 22kW OBC.
The issue appears not only in case of scheduled charging but also with direct charging (via My Porsche app and by pushing the button in the car). Deconnect and reconnect charging cable helps for no longer than the next single immediate charging session.
Very disturbing and all this comes on top of the major navigation issues that many among us are already experiencing as well. Reading now this thread, II fear a new series of major problems where Porsche AG and the dealers have no clue on what is going on. Appointment in the PC tomorrow.

What charger do you have? Please let me know how you get on at the PC. Mine seems to be 100% failure on the left side of the car and doesn’t seem to have a problem on the right side.

Left and right charging port, same problem. I use an original Porsche charging cable and my home wallbox is a Gewiss Joinon 22 kW.

Mine is just the left side. I’m using a Porsche Mobile Charger Connect. My car seems to try and re-establish the connection to the charger whilst the charger is in a paused state (due to charging profile). The connection will not re-establish so the car just gets stuck on ‘initialising’.

In my opinion the problem has nothing to do withe the wallbox charger as such. My wallbox is a ‘passive’ type of charger: it delivers electricity whenever it is asked for by the car. But the car remains in the initiating status (gray diagram) at the moment it is supposed to start up a charging. Disconnecting and reconnecting the charging cable provokes an immediate start of the charging process. But the next time the charging process will stuck again.

I have been having the same issues. I have tried the two finger on top right of screen to reset the car system. It worked for a while. Then there was an online update about a week ago re charging and the same problem has arisen. I did the same reset and managed to successfully charge last night but will be monitoring.

Update: My 22KW OBC was replaced by Porsche under warranty. It was deemed faulty and replaced with a 11KW version that seems to be more reliable.

Update: My car stayed in the Porsche Center for almost a week. Problem solved by reprogramming (I have no more details) and PCM vs 3882 replaced by vs 3885. OBC 22 kW is OK (was never replaced. Prescheduled charging and direct charging (also on distance via My Porsche app) are functional again.

Problem fixed after OBC replaced.

Still under warranty. Free of charge and also get an 1 year free extended warranty as a compensation for downgrading OBC to 11Kw. (22Kw --> 11KW)

I am in Taiwan.

Status Back to Normal ocean blue. No More "Grey Initializing"
