Cracked Taycan panorama roof

I've been wanting a solid roof, carbon fiber as a replacement. I'm going to have to do this when it cracks again. I'm on roof number 4, but it's a known issue on ct.

Someone ought to make a drop-in rollaway version for open roof motoring!

I went thru that too. Rock hit right at the edge of the windshield and roof and it cracked both. Except I have VLC roof. With my luck first replacement VLC roof was defected so had to be replaced again under warranty. Glass installer I found in the Bay Area was Porsche approved and on the approved list of state farm so tidal out of pocket for me was $100. They replaced with Porsche OEM parts.

Do you know how much the VLC roof part was compared to plain glass?

Roof was $10K windshield $3.1K

I had a very similar crack with no visible impact, a beautifully clean crack starting above the passenger visor and looping over towards the drivers side visor that was almost the length of my arm when i noticed it. Was replaced under warranty as there was no sign of impact

Mine was replaced twice, both under warranty. No signs of damage.

AAAAAAARRRRRRRGH!! It happened to me on the interstate. Started above the driver's seat, and the crack formed a large L (went across the front and to the back seat behind the driver). No damage to the windshield, fortunately. I have full glass coverage on my car insurance.

Assuming this was a crack due to stress and not due to being hit by something, I wonder if Porsche would be willing to cover a custom carbon-fiber replacement for #5. There are shops out there that can make them. It sounds like something I would suggest to them after roof #2.
