Custom made no-drill side front plate mount (3D print)

Front plates are required where I am; however, I haven’t installed a front license plate on my cars for more than 20 years. Only been pulled over once about it and it was because I was originally pulled over because of expired tags on my rear.

Alright, I see most people here don't like the side plate thing lol. Anyhow I was just bored and want to test out the 3d scanner. I have installed the plate now! Here's the result. I did one with 2 column and one with 1 column, both are legal here. Just wanna show my work a bit here. Oh and yes there are drilled holes from the original plate holder but I'm getting a brand new bumper soon FYI.

A month ago a Urus backed up into my CT front bumper. Luckily the guy is paying for a brand new front bumper.

So I'm taking the opportunity to do a no drilled way to mount my plate.

I've been looking to put a side front plate but the only ones I found were tow hook method and I really didn't like the idea that if anything bump into the plate would potentially damage the chassis. Or worse, if I bump into a pedestrian, I might severely hurt someone with something that is metal solid.

Since I have a 3d scanner and a 3d printer, I've decided to make my own.

And this is the results so far, I'm still on prototyping stage but it's gonna be more or less look like this.

This basiaclly will be mount up to the plastic tow hook hole. So no drilling will be required.

I think another 1-2 iteration, I'll get the final version done!

Very interesting. I own both the Sho-n-Stow and one of the tow hook types with a plate that allows several degrees of offset in mounting the plate. But it seemed any of the tow hook placements would interfere with one or more of the front sensors. What's your experience?
