How long was the Conductor moored before being unloaded?

It was unloaded by 2pm. Watch the Draught: number, it's currently at 9.3m, this will go down as they unload the cars. The ship should be on its way out by midnight, but somethimes they might be in port a day or two.

SFL Conductor for Houston

At least 1700-1800 miles to go - rough estimate - even at a constant 16 knots (has been doing 16-17.5 so far), that might barely make the current ETA of close to midnight on the 7th. So more realistically is on schedule to be in port on Dec 8 at the earliest I suspect - but that would be excellent if she can get a berth as scheduled berth is for the 10th.

Unfortunately no idea - would depend on whether a '21 vs '22 model and in respect open campaigns etc - hoping that 2022 models with no (apparent) open campaigns might be in and out in no more than a week.

SFL Conductor Houston Arrivals

A better idea of 3 sample viewing points in Galveston if you are perhaps having fun on the island when it arrives - super easy access to a number of sites that will be very close as the Conductor sails by

The Dike may be the quickest if driving from Houston; if attending festivals or visiting your beach house or whatever on Galveston then the seawall Blvd. (road end) and Seawolf Park view points are very close by.

I think they are very anxious to get ships and cars unloaded and moving. I’m really hoping it takes less than a week to get those cars processed and on transports. Still hoping for a pre-Christmas delivery here in the Dallas area.

I am very confused by this schedule...

According to TYD, my CT should be leaving Embden on 12/24 and arriving in Baltimore on 1/7. It has already been sitting at the Emden for a few days, so I was hoping I might make an earlier vessel.

This ship schedule only lists the Prestige leaving Emden on/anywhere near 12/24, but without a stop in Baltimore (and the stop in Davisville, RI is listed as Dec 6, which I am guessing is a typo meaning Jan 6). Are there other vessels that aren't listed here headed to the east coast?

My personal suggestion would be to install a NEMA 14-50 plug in the garage. This needs a 50 amp circuit breaker and 50 amp wire (your electrician will determine which wire needs to be used) and can supply charging up to 40 amps at 240v (80% of 50 amps). And then get a 40 amp EVSE (I use a Juicebox 40 but there are plenty of others).

This gets you 9.6kw charging. While this is a bit below the max charging rate of the 'standard' built-in charger in the Taycan, which is 11kw, with a max of 50 amps you can use a plug-in EVSE rather than a hard wired EVSE. Once you go over 50 amps, you need to use a hard wired EVSE.

If you want to do 50 amps is it only possible to do hardwire? Or can you achieve 50 amps (and the max 11kw speed) with just a plug? (I'm assuming the 14-50 plug).

A 50 amp circuit can have a receptacle attached, such as a NEMA 14-50, or it can have a hardwired EVSE. That 50-amp circuit can operate an EVSE that is rated up to 40 amps.

Do not rely on TYD for Emden departure dates. TYD seems to set dates that are couple of weeks out in the future. Once TYD says your car is at Emden, look at shipping schedule and find the Emden departure dates for next ships stopping in your port. Port is probably named in TYD. If your dealer is in PA likely would be Baltimore. Keep watching the "on vessel" milestone in TYD. Eventually it will show the ship your car is assigned to. Once you have a ship assigned that should be the one your car will be put on. Then rely on the dates in the shipping schedule, rather than on TYD. There are some Porsche owners who report finding out their car is at the dealer while TYD still reports the car is in Emden.

My car arrived at Baltimore on Dec 2. TYD now says:
Port processing completed = Dec 3 actual
Enroute to Dealer/Arrival at Dealer = Dec 10 estimated.
LOL TYD finally got the lead out.
